What is the best change NASCAR made to the 2024 schedule? You tell us!

Updated

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series schedule dropped on Wednesday afternoon and with it came some notable changes.

Some had already been announced. The spring Bristol race is no longer a dirt event and will return to pavement. The Brickyard 400 will indeed move from the road course to the 2-mile oval for the first time since 2020. And, yes, Iowa gets to host its first Cup Series event.

But some others, primarily the inclusion of Atlanta and Watkins Glen in the playoffs, were a bit eyebrow raising.

So, we ask, what's your favorite change to the NASCAR schedule? Do you like any of them at all?

Atlanta will be in the playoffs for 2024 but is it your favorite change for next year's Cup Series schedule?

Now's your chance to tell us.

There was also a slight change for Daytona with the summer's Coke Zero Sugar 400 no longer serving as the regular season finale, but the penultimate race. Instead, the Southern 500 at Darlington will be the final cutoff thanks to a two-week, midsummer break for the Olympics.

Last week we asked who is the best restarter in NASCAR after Bubba Wallace claimed it was him. Kyle Larson was your pick with 38.24% of the vote though we also had a write in via email for Ron Hornaday (thanks Roger!).

As always, you may vote up to once per hour until the poll closes just before Sunday's race. Remember to send all comments, thoughts or … yes, after conferring with the judges we'll also accept write-in votes … to rpritt@gannett.com or tweet them to @RPritt. We may run some of our favorites with next week's story.
