3-Year-Old Cat with 'Heart of Gold' Doesn't Understand Why 'No One Will Adopt Him'

A cat at the Crumbs & Whiskers cat cafe in Los Angeles, California must be so confused. Bucky is an adorable 3-year-old cat. But as of yet, no one has tried to take the kitty home.

It doesn't really make any sense. Someone should have scooped Bucky right up. But instead he's been languishing at the cat cafe, just hoping that someone will notice him.

Bucky has the sweetest markings on his face, we can't believe he doesn't have a line of people waiting to adopt him. The tabby cat's story is sort of tragic too.

"Say hello to Bucky, our sweet 3-year-old boy with a heart of gold," the cat cafe wrote in the caption. "After being left behind when his owner moved away, a kind neighbor found him dirty and malnourished."

Bucky is vocal and affectionate. He "adores playing with toys and feather wands." But above all else, Bucky enjoys "curling up on soft beds and blankets for a cozy nap."

He was brought into the care of one of the shelters the cat cafe works with and has been at Crumbs & Whiskers for the last five months. When will it be his turn?

Commenters were crushed. People really hoped that someone would see Bucky and fall in love. "I met Bucky when I visited earlier this month and he was the sweetest boy!! Hope he gets adopted soon," wrote one person. "Boosting for this handsome boy that he finds a loving home," someone else chimed in. "This is truly baffling. You're gorgeous," another commenter praised.

Why Adopt a Tabby Cat

Tabby, calico, tuxedo — it can be hard to know which cat's which. Tabbies are cats with unique orange or gray markings. These markings are usually stripes.

Personality-wise, tabbies are incredibly friendly. Unlike other cats, which can be aloof, tabbies like their humans and want nothing more than to cuddle up on their laps. They'll also spend most of their time napping, playing with their catnip or feather toys, and hanging out in a patch of sun.

Tabbies are also sort of goofballs. You'll never be bored. They love to roll around, chase balls, and climb furniture (although that might not be fun for you).  But the best part of owning a tabby, or owning a cat in general, is that they are devoted companions. Cats are endless hours of entertainment. And cats like Bucky desperately need a good home.
