Adorable Dachshund Puppy Learning To Walk While Wearing Clothes Is Such a Little Trooper

The hottest model this fashion week is a tiny tan miniature Dachshund named Phoebe. Well to us, anyway. The adorable pup was attempting to model some clothes for her mama in a new video online. But we sort of think Phoebe needs a little practice doing her model stomp while fully dressed.

The Doxie looked sort of dazed after her mom put her in her new outfit. But her mom wasn't going to let her give up.

The miniature Dachshund was all turned around in her new 'fit. It looks like she was wearing a tiny sweatsuit. So adorable! But she couldn't quite figure out the mechanics of how to move her back legs in the ensemble.

The video shows the Doxie's owner trying so hard to get the pup to walk to her.

"You can do it girl! Come on, walk!" the woman praised. But uh...Phoebe clearly was confused. Instead of walking over to her mom, she did something completely wrong. It was impressive...just not what the dog mom expected.

Commenters were inspired. "Ma’am she’s ready for gymnastics," joked one commenter. "Lmao. Looks like she’s about to do a field sobriety test," someone else teased. "Even though she didn't move at all I still think she did an excellent job!" another person praised. "I don't know what I was expecting but that was not it. So adorable," gushed one commenter.

How to Get Your Dog to Like Wearing Clothes

Whether it's a special occasion or you want a day of dress up, there is a time in every pet owner's life when they're going to try and put their dog in clothing. It's almost impossible to resist. But dressing your dog isn't just fun. Sometimes it's helpful if the weather is bad and you need to keep your dog warm.

Dogs aren't always fans of wearing clothes, that's for sure. You never want to push a dog to do something they don't want to do. But if your dog seems open to it or they need to layer up, there are ways to get them to give clothes a chance.

First you'll want to make sure the fit is right. Clothes can make a dog feel anxious, which is why you don't want something that's too tight. Praise your dog as you put the garment on them. You want to create a positive association with clothing for your pet. Then you'll only want to let them wear clothes for short intervals at first. They need to know that wearing clothes won't hurt them, but you don't want to push them too far from the start. Treats and toys can be really helpful too.

Again, it's very important to not make your dog do something they don't want to. As cute as it is, nothing is worth it if it's going to make your pet miserable.
