Adorable Shih-Tzu Isn’t Having It When Family Tries to Have Game Night

Family game nights are something that many of us look forward to, and our fur babies always want to be a part of it too. Mary is mom to an adorable Shih-Tzu named Tito who wanted to join in on family game not, but he did not want to play the Trivial Pursuit game mom was playing. She posted a video of Tito's reaction to the boardgame on Tuesday, August 20th, and it's too cute!

The video starts with Tito standing on the Trivial Pursuit board with his blue ball directly in the middle of the game. Make sure your sound is on so you can hear the conversation that Mary and Tito are having. Clearly Tito wants mom to play ball with him instead of the game she's trying to play!

Tito was talking back and telling mom that he wants her to throw the ball! I cracked up when Mary called him 'Sir' because I call our dog 'Mom'! And while it may have looked like Tito wasn't getting his way, Mary said in the comments, "Don’t worry… I threw the ball in between questions. LOL!"

Is A Shih-Tzu Right for Your Family?

Tito is an absolute doll, and Mary shares lots of cute videos about him that always make me want to adopt a Shih-Tzu (even though technically Tito isn't a 'purebred' Shih-Tzu!) Shih-Tzus are known for being friendly and cheerful dogs; in fact, they are one of the most affectionate dog breeds out there. If you're looking for a pint-sized sweet pup, a Shih-Tzu might be perfect for you.

Shih-Tzus are very outgoing and playful and love their humans. They're great with children and other animals, although one thing to consider before bringing one home is their size. Most weigh just 9 to 16 pounds when fully grown, so they may not be the best dog for a home with very small children. Children often don't pay attention and can accidentally step on or fall on the dog and injure it.

These dogs don't need a ton of exercise like some breeds do. They're actually quite versatile because they can be lively and very active one minute, then ready to be a couch potato the next. They are the perfect fit for those of us who also enjoy chilling at home instead of being active, but they are always up for an outdoors adventure when you are.

Shih-Tzus are one of the best companion dog breeds, and love being around their humans. This means that they can be attention hogs and require lots of attention. If they don't get that attention, they can become destructive, so make sure to have plenty of toys and chews to keep them occupied.

Is a Shih-Tzu right for you? Make sure to do your research to learn about the breed's health, temperament, grooming, and exercise requirements to find out if they fit into your family's lifestyle. As for me, I'm Team Shih-Tzu and would love to have one of my own!
