Beagle Mom Attaches Dog Treat to GoPro Camera and the Results Are Too Cute

If there's one thing all dogs love, it's being given treats...even if they have to work for them. Kiki and Koko are two rambunctious Beagles who love to help their mom and dad cook in the kitchen. All of their videos normally center around that, until mom posted this one on Wednesday, September 4th showing the girls chasing after treats while running around outside. It's the serotonin boost you didn't know you needed!

The video starts with mom saying that she attached a treat to her GoPro to see what would happen. She then recorded Kiki and Koko chasing after the camera trying to get to the treat. Mom said in her caption that they got more tired from chasing the GoPro than when they go on a run with her. Watch to the end to see if they finally get the treat!

This is just adorable! Their little faces show just how excited they are about the new activity mom came up with. I bet they're hoping she'll do it again soon! People definitely got a kick out of Kiki and Koko's cute video. @Malia said, "Cute!! Looks like Koko gave up at the end and was howling in protest and then Kiki got it!" @Mary pointed out, "Not the slobber on the camera lens! I love them so much!" and the dogs' mom replied, "I didn’t share most of the footage because it was just slobber all over the camera LOL!"

Is a Beagle the Right Pet for Your Family?

When we decided as a family that we wanted to get a dog, all of us agreed that a Beagle would be a good one. They're cute, spunky, and have big personalities. We thought it would be a great match without really knowing anything about them. After writing about pets for a couple of years, I know that just because a dog is cute doesn't mean it would make a good pet for every family, so I did some research to learn more about them.

Another Pet Helpful article shared why Beagles are the best, and the list is tempting. They're always happy, they adore cuddle time, they get along great with kids, they are extremely intelligent, and they're relatively low maintenance. Sounds like a great match!

But with all dog breeds, there are positives and negatives. I know better than to just look at the good qualities that a dog breed has! Beagles are notorious for stealing any and all food that they can get their hands on; they're master food thieves and will go to any lengths to get to it. Thanks to their loose lips and low-hanging jowls, they're also big droolers. Beagles are noisy and love to bark and howl...as a matter of fact, IHeartDogs rates them as the Number 1 noisiest breed, even over Siberian Huskies! That reason alone is enough for me to pass on choosing a Beagle.

Another thing to consider is that Beagles have a natural musky scent that comes from their skin oils and sweat glands. Even after regular baths, grooming, and air fresheners, their natural scent may still linger. Potty training a Beagle can also be difficult. After learning all of this, we decided that a Beagle wouldn't be the right fit for us. This is why it's so important to consider the good, the bad, and the ugly to determine if a particular breed will suit your family's lifestyle.
