Celia Kreifels is crowned the 2023 Dallas County Fair Queen
Celia Kreifels was crowned the 2023 Dallas County Fair Queen during a coronation ceremony on July 14.
Kreifels recently graduated from ADM High School and will attend Iowa State University this fall to study human sciences. She is involved in FFA, 4-H and the Best Buddies program for elementary students. Kreifels also ran a community closet providing gently used clothing to ADM students and their families and providing respite care for mentally and physically challenged youth in the community.
Brinna Orr was named the runner-up. She will be a junior at Woodward-Granger High School. Orr is involved in 4-H, FFA and advocated for school-wide change with the Woodward-Granger School Board.
The queen contestants participated in individual and group interviews before the fair. The contestants then wore sashes and participated in various fair activities, including handing out ribbons, before Friday's coronation ceremony. Makenzie Dresback, the 2022 fair queen, helped lead this year’s contestants before crowning Kreifels as the 2023 fair queen. Mary Ann Fox, the 2022 Iowa State Fair Queen, was also on hand to hand out sashes and flowers.

Lydia Morin - Graduated from Dallas Center-Grimes High School and will attend DMACC to study psychology
Makenna Odegaard - Graduated from Dallas Center-Grimes High School and will attend Northwest Missouri State to study ag business
Megan Reck - Graduated from Dallas Center-Grimes High School and will attend Iowa State University studying ag business
Bailey Renner - Graduated from ADM High School and will attend DMACC to study business management
Camryn Tigges - Will be a senior at West Central Valley
