Dachshund Siblings Rock Halloween as the Sweetest Little Dragons

It's officially spooky season yet again, which means that it's time for the entire family to start brainstorming Halloween costume ideas. Some folks prefer to keep it simple and classic on All Hallow's Eve, but others, like me, start looking forward to dressing up, decorating, and going all out for fall before summer even ends.

It's only natural to get our pets involved in the frightening festivities, and it begins with getting them a costume, too. Many dogs love dressing up and greeting trick-or-treaters, but one pair of sausage dogs, or 'Hallo-wieners', if you will, are blowing away TikTok fans left and right with their adorable dragon costumes.

Alfie the Dachshund is getting ready for his second ever Halloween, and this year will only be sweeter with his puppy sister Ginger by his side! Check out their precious September 18 video:

OMG--could they be any cuter? These miniature Dachshunds have the sweetest faces, but seeing them dressed as little dragons brings the cuteness to a whole new level. It's no wonder why they've already racked up 30 thousand views!

"I've never seen this episode on House of the Dragon," joked commenter @besabrenda. LOL! These two would be the stars of any show, especially in those canine Halloween costumes, though their acting could still use a bit of work. They may look like dragons on the outside, but I still heard a bark! Fortunately, they'll be just spooky enough to make folks do a double take but not scary enough to frighten any young trick-or-treaters. In fact, I would bet that kids will love these dogs' costumes just as much as they love their own--because who can resist a dog in costume?

Costume Alternatives for Dogs Who Don't Like Dressing Up

There's no doubt that dog Halloween costumes are adorable and hilarious, but not every pup is eager to wear one for the big night. Some dogs don't like the feeling of wearing clothes, but there are plenty of other options to give your dog an adorable and festive look.

You can keep it simple with a fall or Halloween-themed bandana for your dog, or you can browse costume options that use accessories rather than clothes. For example, the bat wing harness is a popular choice for dogs who are used to wearing a harness while walking on a leash. To them, they're just wearing a harness, but to you, they'll look like a precious little bat!

If you prefer DIY craft projects, try creating a large Beanie Babies or Squishmallows tag to attach to your pup's collar. They won't need to wear anything else to be adorable and recognizable, and you'll be able to pat yourself on the back for a job well done.

Patient pups like these sausage dogs will have even more options available to them. Most dog Halloween costumes are created with ease of use in mind, but you can never go wrong with a bandana, either.
