Dalmatian Chats up Mom After Work Like He’s Telling Her the Tea

When you get home from work, if you have little ones at home (not teens like I do), chances are they meet you at the door and immediately start talking your ear off. Sometimes, our fur babies even do it, too! Percy is a Dalmatian who is very chatty when it comes to his mom, Chloe. She got home from work recently and he chatted her up like he was spilling the day's tea!

The video was shared at the end of August and shows Percy sitting on his mom's lap and playing with a toy on the couch. It goes on to show several other times Chloe's gotten home, and he's greeted her, telling her all about how his day went. Make sure your sound is on so you can hear all of his stories!

That was a whole lot of talking! Chloe explains in the video's caption, "No, he's not being mean, he’s super talkative and this is his favorite thing to do when holding a toy and or to greet me when I get home from work. He started doing this at like 7 months of age and still does it and I think its adorable!" We all think it's adorable too!

Do Dalmatians Make Good Pets?

We all know that Dalmatians have a ton of spots, but Percy has two very cool spots around his eyes that look like hearts. Not to mention he also has heterochromia, or two different colored eyes! I wasn't the only one smitten with the gorgeous Dalmatian; one of Chloe's videos from when he was a puppy went crazy viral and racked up more than 60 million views, over 14 million likes, and has nearly 37 thousand comments. People went crazy over the unique pooch!

If you're looking for a high-energy pooch to bring home, a Dalmatian might be worth considering since they're known for their energetic and outgoing personalities. They were originally bred to run great distances as carriage dogs: dogs that ran alongside carriages to protect the carriage, passengers, and their belongings. Since running is in their blood, they require a lot of exercise each day. Experts suggest that this breed should receive 30–60 minutes of vigorous exercise daily.

Dalmatians are affectionate dogs who love to please their owners. But with every positive comes a negative. Another Pet Helpful article says, "they can be extremely stubborn, strong-willed, and independent (to a fault). For these reasons, they require consistent and firm training." Early socialization is crucial for Dalmatians as well. They also have specific dietary needs due to urinary issues and are susceptible to a number of health problems and conditions.

It sounds like this breed is a handful! While it might not be a breed I'd consider bringing home, others will tell you they're the best dogs out there. That's why it is important to research a dog breed before bringing it home to make sure it suits your family's lifestyle (and you theirs)!
