Disgruntled Husky Arguing With Mom Over Retrieving Her Ball Is Cracking People Up

Huskies are known for being very vocal, and it's always fun to watch them talk - and even argue - with their humans. Kona is no exception, and she had a lot to say to her mom in this video her mom posted on Wednesday, September 25th. Kona was 'going on' with her mom about something, and she didn't seem too happy!

Make sure your sound is on so that you can hear Kona's conversation with her mom. Kona wants her ball, but it's outside on the deck and it looks like it's been raining. Not wanting to brave the elements, Kona instead tries to get her mom to go get it for her. But like most arguments, what they two were first discussing turned into an entirely different conversation.

Kona wanted the ball but also to make sure mom heard her and understood her grievances about mom being away for so long! I think it's adorable when Huskies 'talk' like that, and it makes me want one of my own! Commenters got a kick out of Kona's convo with mom, too. @Camille Fraser pointed out, "Oh she’s telling you all about how upset she is! Lol that sideways look just made me laugh!" and @Jules added, "Nothing better than a Husky tantrum and chewing out!"

Howling Huskies as Pets

Siberian Huskies are very active dogs, after all, they were bred to work and prefer to stay busy. They're very affectionate and love to snuggle up - on their terms. They get along great with older children and are generally good with other dogs, though they do like to be in charge.

Another Pet Helpful article warns, "If Siberian Huskies are known for anything, it’s their independent nature. However, many confuse their independent personality with stubbornness. One thing to note is that because of their independent personality, they are not as obedient and are not as eager to please as many dogs are. In fact, more often than not, they do not strive to please their owners." If you're looking for a dog who will always obey, a Husky may not be the breed for you.

We all know that Huskies are very vocal and communicate their wants, feelings, and needs through howling and other noises like whining, crying, and 'talking'. But one thing they don't do is bark. While Huskies have the ability to bark, it's very rare for them to do so. For this reason, they'd make terrible guard dogs!

The AKC explains, "Oddly enough, Huskies rarely truly bark. Instead, they use all of their various vocalizations to express themselves. Your Husky will let you know, loudly and often, if they’re excited, bored, feeling defiant, stressed out, or just want to chat with you. Though we may not understand precisely what they’re “saying,” we usually get a pretty good idea of what they mean." Based on Kona's video, we know exactly what the AKC is trying to get across about Huskies and communication. Kona may not have used any words, but what she was saying came through loud and clear!
