Dog Dad Gets His Staffy a ‘Chariot’ So He Can Go On Bike Rides and It’s the Best

Some pet owners do everything with their pets, including exercising and hobbies. So when one dog dad realized that his pup Tommy loved to go on bike rides with him, he came up with a fun way to take him along! Tommy's dad posted a video on Tuesday, July 16th of the dog getting to ride in his very own bike trailer, AKA 'chariot', and it's the cutest thing you'll see today.

Tommy watches curiously as dad assembles the bike trailer. As soon as it was done, he climbed right in! Mom and dad then took turns pulling Tommy in the trailer behind their bikes, and it's clear from the smile on his face that he's a big fan of his new chariot!

They say that dogs can't smile, but after seeing this video, I think we can all agree that they absolutely can. The smile on Tommy's face is huge and I'm sure his dad knows that the chariot was worth every penny. Commenters loved the video, too. @Christina pointed out, "A hippo holster!" @Hope Pawlak added, "Sir that is one adorable chonky potato you have with you!" And I agree with @Andy Peterson who said, "I love seeing people spoiling their fur babies."

Do Staffordshire Bull Terriers Make Good Pets?

Staffordshire Bull Terriers, lovingly referred to as Staffies, make great family pets...for the right families. They're intelligent, hard-working, persistent dogs who love to stay busy and active, otherwise they can become bored, which leads to them becoming destructive and mischievous.

Staffies were originally bred as fighting dogs and are often confused with Pit Bulls. Like Pit Bulls, this breed has been banned in certain countries and is often restricted in some neighborhoods. But if you've ever owned or met a Staffy, you know that their bad rap and that of similar dogs (again, Pit Bulls) is not who these dogs are. They've actually been nicknamed 'Nanny' dogs because of their gentle, careful nature. These dogs love to be put to work and to hang out with their people, including children.

Staffies have a short, dense coat of fur that comes in many colors, and weigh an average of 50-70 pounds. They do shed throughout the year but are not considered 'heavy' shedders.

Staffies can get along well with cats and other dogs, but they also like to be in charge. If you already have an alpha dog at home, bringing a Staffy into the mix may not be the best idea. Your Pure Bred Puppy shared, "Stubborn and sometimes headstrong, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is inclined to test for position in the family pecking order. Confident leadership and obedience training are musts."

Your Pure Bred Puppy also suggests, "Provide the strongest chew toys you can find to keep his powerful jaws busy and as an alternative to furniture. The athletic Stafford can scale a six-foot fence, and when inclined, he can dig his way under." Talk about a dog that likes to keep itself busy!
