Dog Dad Shows off Goldendoodle’s Top Hairstyles and People Can’t Get Enough
If you watch a lot of TikToks, you've probably seen dogs with gorgeous long hair whose moms and dads style it in all kinds of creative ways. I'll admit that sometimes I'm jealous because their hair looks much better than mine does even on a good day! Brodie the Goldendoodle is one of the dogs whose hair I covet, and his dad posted a video on Thursday, September 5th of some of his cool hairstyles and they're all adorable!
From bubble braids to bedhead, Brodie rocks every look his dad gives him. He gets his hair curled. He gets it styled like Chewbacca's when he gets to meet him in person. Just try to pick out one favorite style - it's impossible!
I can't believe I'm jealous of a dog's hair! Brodie's hair puts mine to shame, and I feel like I now have to put my effort into my hairstyles! People left hundreds of comments about the video, many of them sharing their favorite 'dos. One commenter said, "Viking and pigtails are the best!" @Merr thought, "His man bun is the best!" and Brodie's dad called it, "The Classic." @Lisa pointed out, "Brodie rocks them all!" and I think she's spot on!

Is It Hard to Care for Goldendoodle's Hair?
Earlier this year, I attended a large pet grooming conference to help cover social media for a pet magazine. One of the things that I had to do was sit in on seminars about different grooming topics. One of them was about grooming Goldendoodles, and I learned a lot.
It's not difficult to groom a Goldendoodle, but it is extremely time consuming. Each one is different, and so is the way that their hair grows. Some are more Golden than Poodle, much like Brodie. Others are more Poodle and have curly hair that's harder to tame. And some are a mixture of both, with hair growing this way and that. Bottom line, it takes a lot of time to properly groom a Doodle, and one thing new pet parents don't realize is that they're more expensive to groom because it takes so much time to do.
One thing that's important to do if you have a Doodle is to do regular daily maintenance on your pooch's coat. Daily brushing is imperative, as is checking for knots and things getting caught in it. Once it gets knotty or matted, the hair becomes more difficult to groom, and it takes more time. Save yourself some money by preventing problems from happening.
Keep regularly scheduled grooming appointments. Many Doodle parents prefer to keep their dog's coat shorter rather than longer just so it's easier to maintain. Talk to your groomer for tips and tricks on keeping your Doodle's coat in tip top shape. It will definitely save you money down the road.
