Dancing On Ice is set to kick off 2024's celebrity TV contests, but before the stars have even set foot on the ice for the first time, there's already a clear favourite to win. Love Island 2017 winner Amber Davies is the frontrunner to win the show with skating partner Simon Sénécal, with odds of 3/1.

Sam Boswell, spokesperson for sports betting Site BetVictor, said: “Amber is no stranger to tasting success on ITV shows following her triumph in Love Island, and the Welsh actress is our early favourite to win the upcoming edition of Dancing on Ice.

“Amber is 3/1 with us to win the show ahead of Sunday’s launch, putting her ahead of Miles Nazaire and Greg Rutherford in the betting. Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards was a popular addition to the show and has a wealth of experience of performing on the ice, but his odds of 14/1 suggest he may struggle to land on his feet.”

The ITV show is set to return on Sunday 14th January with a cast of 12 well-known skating amateurs hoping to excel on the ice and the bookies have named their favourites to champion - as well as those most likely to be sent home first.

Celebrities taking part - who include Claire Sweeney, Ryan Thomas and Adele Roberts - have been hard at work on the training rink for months now, but whose practise has paid off?

Holly Willoughby's return

Meanwhile, it's recently been confirmed that Holly Willoughby will return as host for her first TV project since quitting This Morning in October. She left This Morning after she was allegedly the target of a kidnap and murder plot.

She will host Dancing on Ice alongside long-time friend Stephen Mulhern, who replaces former co-host Phillip Schofield after his exit from ITV. Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment commissioning at ITV, said: "Holly and Stephen are two of our best loved presenters, so reuniting them 20 years after they first appeared on screen together to host Dancing On Ice marks the start of an exciting year for the show."
