Emma Willis has shared her reaction to her husband Matt getting a tattoo of her on his leg, telling Yahoo UK: "I don't look like that anymore."

In July this year the celebrity couple celebrated 16 years of marriage together. To mark the milestone of their marriage, the Busted star decided to get an inking representing their love.

Matt unveiled the detailed tattoo of his wife on his leg with his followers on social media. Talking to Yahoo UK, Emma said she was surprised to see the photograph her husband had chosen as the inspiration for the tattoo.

She explained: "I was quite shocked, to be honest. Yeah, I was quite surprised. I knew he was getting one, but I didn't know what the picture was. I was quite surprised by the image that was used because it was different to what I anticipated. It's quite an old one so I was like, 'Oh, I don't look like that anymore'."

The musician shared the tattoo on his Instagram on 5 July with the caption: "Happy Anniversary @emmawillisofficial… I love you more than ever. 16 years and it keeps getting better. Thanks @tomftattoo for your amazing work and fitting me in just in time for today."

Admittedly, Matt said he didn't get the response from his wife that he had been hoping for. Speaking on his On The Mend podcast, he said: "If anyone doesn’t know, I got a new tattoo for my wedding anniversary. We’ve been married for 16 years and I thought I’d get my wife a present by getting her tattooed on my leg."

"It was a lovely thought. They say when you have plans, God laughs, right? Whatever that means! But I had all these grand plans, and a big gesture of love, and I thought she was going to love it," he said.

"It wasn’t that response, shall we say. She wasn’t overjoyed, she was just like ‘oh, so you got a tattoo of me, on you, for my anniversary present’ and I was like, ‘yeah’. It wasn’t quite the desired response. But I love it, I love it, I think it’s cute."

This year Matt and Emma were reunited on-screen to host reality series Love Is Blind UK, and behind the scenes of their showbiz careers, the couple also juggle being parents to their three children: Isabelle, Ace and Trixie.

Emma addressed the much-talked about tattoo while promoting her series Delivering Babies which is streaming on U now. In the fourth series, the presenter faces the challenge of a move to Watford General Hospital.

It was Matt, she said, who would offer her support behind the scenes when she got home from filming the long shifts. She said: "There are tears when I get home because I think I'm gonna fail or I think I can't do it or I think I shouldn't be there, all that kind of all the imposter syndrome that bubbles away underneath because you're in a world that isn't really yours. That's not your everyday life. But it's just all worth it every time you go in and you can contribute in some way and it just makes everything worth it."

"Matt's amazing," she added. "He's brilliant. He's there to listen. He's there to share the load and a lot of the time he's there to carry the whole load. He preps my meals for me and sends me off with the packed lunch. He's wicked. He's great. Brings my shoes when I forget them!"

Emma Willis: Delivering Babies returned to U&W on 5 September at 9pm. Stream all episodes for free on U.
