Former state representative Kevin Ambler will speak at a Constitution Day event to be held Sept. 19 at Southeastern University in Lakeland.

The school’s American Center for Political Leadership will host the event at 10 a.m. in the Buena Vida West Auditorium.

Ambler, a lawyer based in Tampa, will lead a presentation titled “How Do We Keep Justice in America?” He will discuss the law school experience, the independence of the judiciary and the sanctity of the U.S. Constitution, the school said in a news release.

Ambler served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2002 to 2010. He is an adjunct professor for Stetson University College of Law, where he has been working for the past 12 years.
