Kelly Brook says Jeremy Parisi is still not over losing Celebrity Race Across The World

Watch: Kelly Brook says Jeremy Parisi is still not over losing Celebrity Race Across The World

Kelly Brook has admitted her ultra-competitive husband Jeremy Parisi is "still not over" not winning Celebrity Race Across The World and has been getting her to watch back the final to work out where they went wrong.

The couple were contestants on the recent BBC One series which saw them race from the Amazon to the Andes but came in last place despite Parisi's drive to win. Scott Mills and Sam Vaughan were the show's unexpected winners.

Brook also shared what her biggest fear had been for her husband ahead of taking part in Celebrity Race Across The World when she spoke to Loose Women on Wednesday.

Celebrity Race Across The World's most competitive contestant in the recent series was undoubtedly Jeremy Parisi, but despite his carefully-planned route and tight budget, he and wife Kelly Brook still finished in last place thanks to a last-minute bus breakdown.

Brook admitted to Loose Women on Wednesday that her husband still couldn't get over not having won the show, which saw Scott Mills and his husband Sam Vaughan become the surprise champions in last week's final.

In fact, Parisi has even been poring over the final episode to work out where it all went wrong.

Brook said of taking part in Celebrity Race Across The World: "I didn't realise how competitive he was. He's still not over the fact we didn't win it.

"He'll say, 'We just need to watch that last episode again, just so I can figure out where we went wrong.' I was much more there for the experience and for us to share something together."

She added that Parisi was already preparing for their next challenge, but was worried about whether he could win that race, too. "I think we're going to run the London marathon together next year," she said. "When I suggested it to Jeremy, he was like, 'but we're not going to win that'."

Fans of the BBC One travel series watched Brook open up to Parisi in one episode of the race about how tough she had found media scrutiny in the early days of her fame.

Brook spoke about what it was like to see scathing headlines about herself and told Loose Women that her biggest fear for her husband ahead of appearing on the show was that he would experience the same thing.

She said: "I did have to sit him down and go look, Britain is very different to France, in France you have a lot of privacy laws. We don't have that in the UK, with the media it's a bit of a free for all.

"I just felt so protective because he's not had that experience and people might not have liked him, it could have gone the other way like it did for me when I first started out...I think it is a bit kinder now than what it was in the 90s."

Luckily, Parisi was a hit with viewers and Brook shared: "We went out to the shopping centre at the weekend and I've got women elbowing me out the way to get to Jeremy.

"It's so lovely watching people get to know the person that I love, and get to love him as much as I do."

Loose Women airs on ITV1 at 12.30pm on weekdays.
