Phillip Schofield had a row with Lembit Opik on This Morning over comments made by Angela Rayner about Matt Hancock's appearance on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.
Opik, a former politician who appeared on the reality show in 2010 defended Hancock's decision to appear on I'm a Celebrity while Rayner, the shadow deputy Prime Minister called the move "offensive".
After Rayner criticised Hancock for missing votes in the Commons to appear on I'm a Celebrity, Opik brought up a declared gift the Labour MP received, commenting: "Angela, first of all you do LBC, there are 11 dresses in your declaration…"

Schofield then interrupted and said: "I’m sorry, what did you just say?"
But Opik continued to criticise Rayner: "You haven’t got a 100% voting record yourself. Nobody has, no politician has, once again it’s easy knocking [Mr Hancock] down.
"When it comes down to it, he’s the first politician in the history of the jungle to be the main event."
Schofield's This Morning co-host Holly Willoughby then said: "We were talking about you, Lembit, talking about your friend, and in order to defend him, you don’t need to trample on somebody else."
Opik responded by saying: "I’m not trying to, I’m not actually having a go at Angela."
But Schofield shouted back: "Well you were!"
Matt Hancock, who was health secretary for the majority of the Covid-19 pandemic, has said he has gone on I'm a Celebrity as part of a campaign to raise awareness for dyslexia.
His decision to appear on the reality show was criticised by the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and saw him suspended as a Conservative MP.
Hancock is set to take part in his first bushtucker trial and a preview showed him crawling through a dark tunnel while being covered in bugs and grime.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here continues tonight at 9pm on ITV. This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
