Stacey Solomon got everyone talking when she put her two ducks on her own double bed at her home Pickle Cottage.

Finally the mum-of-five revealed she had named her ducks Daisy and Delilah, officially welcoming them into the family. In typical Solomon style, she then posed the ducks for photographs - unexpectedly allowing them to sit on her bed.

She wrote: "Daisy & Delilah Solomon-Swash. So our ducks are gorgeous feather girlies & now finally we can name them. Honestly these little duckies have brought so much joy to our lives. They’re so loving and cuddly and just the most amazing addition to our family!

"Can’t wait to complete pickle cottage pond & maybe adopt some more feathered friends. Things are starting to get a little more even around pickle cottage. 6 boys 5 girls now counting all dogs ducks and humans."

Many of her followers were distracted by the fact Solomon had placed the ducks on her clean bedding and cosy blankets. Some people were concerned that the birds might accidentally poo on the bed and they shared their worries with Solomon.

As it sparked debate among her following, would you put ducks on your bed? Cast your vote in our poll below.

We take a look at how Solomon's following reacted to the post. Cheeky fellow celebrity Lady Victoria Hervey was keen to know: "Were they easier to house train?" One fan of Solomon's commented in response to Hervey to say: "I wondered the same. Can just imagine they (poo emoji) everywhere!"

Another person wrote: "Cute but don't they poop on yr bedding?" Someone else added: "Came here to ask this."

Additionally another fan posted: "They definitely must have I wish she would post the reality of having ducks they are so messy and don’t stop pooping everywhere."

"Ooooh duck poo is horrific- just saying."

"Don’t they (poo emoji) everywhere inside ? I have never eaten duck as we had pets mr and Mrs quaky loved them so much."

However, not everyone jumped to the same conclusion. Some of her following were just in total awe of how sweet the ducks looked. One person wrote: "Daisy Duck & Delilah Duck. It’s too much for my heart to contend with. Just adorable."

Another added: "And I just wasn’t expecting to come across a picture of 2 ducks sitting on a beautifully made bed but here we are love the names Stacey."

The ducks became part of Solomon's household just six weeks ago when they were little ducklings. Solomon revealed she had been given the hatchlings by The Apprentice runner-up and Celebrity Big Brother star Luisa Zissman.

Ever since then, the Sort Your Life Out star has been keeping her fans updated with the ducks progress and how they have been living their lives at Pickle Cottage.

Two weeks ago, Solomon revealed they let the ducks have the first swim in the swimming pool before they clean it with the chemicals. She wrote: "It’s their pool now. We let the ducks have the first swims in the pool before we put the chemicals in & clean it. Hope this brightens up your feed today… I could watch them play all day it’s so beautiful. Joes fumin the ducks get better poolside snack & drink service than him."

Solomon's latest glimpse into her family home comes as the star said she was leaving behind the showbiz world in a bid to become a stay-at-home mum. She has an incredibly busy home life with her husband Joe Swash as well as their children Rex, five, Rose, two, and 15-month-old Belle, plus Solomon's two sons, Zachary, 16, and Leighton, 12, from previous relationships.

At their family home Pickle Cottage, they also have two dogs and now two ducks. Solomon set her heart on being a stay-at-home mum and slowing down her TV career.

She said on Glad We Had This Chat podcast: "Every year I have a team meeting with my agent and everyone on the team to say, 'What's your plan? What's your goal?' And this year when they asked me my five-year goal, I was like, I want to be a stay-at-home mum."

She added: "That is my dream, it's my ultimate dream. I just want to be with my kids." The mum is going to continue working from home where she can and she plans to take on only projects that speak to her heart.
