Golden Retriever Celebrates ‘Corn Season’ in the Cutest Way Possible

Some food just tastes better in the summer, ya' know? Whether that be hamburgers or popsicles or...corn on the cob. Golden Retriever Lucy is a big fan of summer corn, and a video of the dog digging into her favorite summer treat is so stinkin' cute.

Lucy is a hungry girl. And when she likes to snack she really goes for it.

Who could blame her really? There's nothing we like more than eating corn at a barbecue on a summer's night. And if we like it, it only stands to reason that your dog would like corn too.

Lucy is clearly a fan. In the footage that the Golden's mom Grace shared online, it shows the pup munching on the corn like a pro. She must've done this before. In fact, we could say with some confidence that corn might be Lucy's favorite food.

"Corn season is back and Lucy is loving it!" Grace wrote in the caption.

You know who else was loving it? People in the comments section. "Exactly what I needed to see right now to be honest," wrote one commenter. "When her nose scrunkles up," someone else gushed. "Amazing, give me 14 of them right now," joked another person. "THE CORN DOG," one person teased.

A second video shows Lucy eating another one of her summer favorites — watermelon!

The good girl gobbled that watermelon right up. You could probably say this is her second favorite summer food.

Best Summer Treats for Your Pup

If you're not exactly looking forward to sharing your dinner with your dog, you might want to try fixing them some snacks of their own.

Carrots are a good snack for anytime of the year, but a frozen carrot can be a perfect seasonal food. Not only will your dog enjoy the cool treat, it'll keep them busy as they try to gnaw their way through it.

There's a reason why the Golden Retriever loves watermelon so much. It's so refreshing! And watermelon is also a rare treat that has lots of vitamins too.

Cucumber is another good option that has a high water content. On a warm summer day, sliced cucumber can be just the thing to cool your dog down. Just don't feed your pup pickled cucumber, as it has a higher salt content and can get your dog sick if they eat too much of it.

You might want to try a few of these snacks to see which one your dog likes. Who knows? Your next food adventure might be a hit.
