The day your dog learns to love the water is special. They might be scared to take the plunge but once they do it's the best. Just look at a Golden Retriever named Ace. His humans captured the very first time the dog attempted to swim in the pool. And seeing the joy on his face is truly everything.

It wasn't just Ace who was feeling the good vibes. His mom Linda Soller was positively delighted in the video she shared online.

Ace's transformation from timid Golden to swimming like a fish happened so quickly. He really overcame his fears. As the video started, it looked like the dog was maybe going to pass on going in. But with a little encouragement from his humans the dog slowly but surely made his way into the water.

"Come on, you can do it!" his mom cheered from behind the camera. The cheering didn't stop there. As the Golden Retriever doggy paddled around the pool his whole family was praising him. Go Ace, go!

Something tells us this is the beginning of a beautiful new relationship. The real question is, how did his mom get him out of the pool?

"OMG he is so stinking adorable," wrote one person in the comments section. "Good job Ace!! You’re an awesome swimmer now and look how happy you are!" someone else cheered.

Ace Loves the Water Now

My how things can change so quickly! Ace is now a pro at the pool. In a second video his owner shared online it shows a compilation of clips of the dog swimming. Was there really a time when Ace was scared of the water? It's hard to believe there ever was.

Not only does Ace like the water, but his human siblings do too! In fact, they like to play around in the water together. There's nothing like a little family time, right?

Golden Retrievers Love to Swim

It shouldn't be a surprise that Ace is now ready for the Olympics. Unlike other breeds, Goldens are big fans of the water. You can count on them to take a dip.

Just like Ace, it might take some encouragement to get them to give it a try at first. But once they get used to it, Goldens are the kinds of dogs that never want to leave. Swimming is good for dogs! If you want them to have a good night's sleep, let them spend the day in the pool.

Teaching your dog to swim doesn't just make their life better, it makes things good for you! There's nothing better than a little company at the beach.
