When you're a dog's favorite person, the signs are more like giant billboards that all say "I LOVE YOU." They aren't subtle. Just take one woman, who got the hint that her boyfriend's Great Dane was a little bit of a fan.

It must sting to be Roman's dad in this situation, because the dog clearly favors his girlfriend.

We're not exaggerating either. Just take a look at the video the couple shared that shows the way the Great Dane greets her. In the clip, Roman was giving his pop a bit of a hard time. They were having a quick tug-of-war over Roman's leash — things were tense! It seems like both the large dog and his dad were both relieved when the woman appeared.

Right away Roman ran over to her. "She's here! She's here!" we can imagine him saying.

The comments section was cracking up over the very different ways that Roman treated his parents. "The way he immediately stopped," wrote one person. "He said 'Ope, Ma's here! Activate angel mode!'" another commenter teased. "'His dog' ma’am that’s clearly your dog, he was being kidnapped and trying to escape," someone else commented. "Him back running over like 'stand uuuup don’t embarrass me,'" another commenter added.

All About Great Danes

Known for their very large size, Great Danes certainly live up to their "gentle giant" reputation. They are very easy going dogs! However that doesn't mean that you should discount their ability to protect and guard their home.

Great Danes can be 32 inches high at the shoulder, making them taller than most other dogs. Unsurprisingly, they can be intimidating to humans too. Which is why many home intruders will back away when they see one. In these situations, Great Danes can be courageous creatures, but they aren't naturally aggressive.

For the most part, these dogs are extremely friendly and are great with kids. They are perfect for families that like to hang at home too. Great Danes don't need a lot of activity to be happy, but you will need to walk them two or three times daily. Grooming a Great Dane is pretty easy too. These dogs don't shed a lot and probably only need to be brushed once or twice a week.

For the right family, Great Danes are incredible pets. And they aren't afraid to play favorites — as we now all know.
