Celebs Go Dating fans stunned as Helen Flanagan debuts secret boyfriend

Helen Flanagan showed off her new boyfriend Robbie on Celebs Go Dating leaving viewers a little surprised.

The former Coronation Street star had been taking part in the E4 show to find a new partner and had tearfully opened up to the experts about her split from long-term partner Scott Sinclair, as well as her relationship with David Haye.

But last week, Flanagan admitted that she had actually been dating a new boyfriend for a while and was "in love". On Monday, she showed him off for the first time and convinced him to join her for a meeting with the experts.

After Helen Flanagan's shock Celebs Go Dating revelation last week that she actually had a boyfriend, viewers of the E4 show might have thought she couldn't have had anything more surprising in store.

However, in Monday's episode viewers were stunned to see Flanagan's new boyfriend Robbie, the man she claimed would be her "last boyfriend".

She was hoping to convince him to join her on the show for some "therapy" sessions with the dating experts, something Robbie did not look too sure about. He eventually agreed, saying: "As long as it's not all feelings and stuff like that. I find it weird, it's not really me," as Flanagan laughed.

She then told him: "I feel like you're my last boyfriend now because if we don't work out I've had enough."

TV star Flanagan has three children with her ex, the footballer Scott Sinclair, and has since hit headlines for her relationship with David Haye. But Robbie seemed to be living a much more ordinary life as a construction company owner, surprising viewers.

One viewer commented: "Robbie was not what I was expecting." Someone else added: "Sorry THAT’S Helen Flanagan’s boyf?!"

Another viewer speculated: "I'm not buying that's her 'real' boyfriend. A bit too much fake laughter going on."

What else happened on Celebs Go Dating?

Last week, Kyle Walker's ex Lauryn Goodman joined Celebs Go Dating as a late recruit after Flanagan's boyfriend revelation but so far, she has been unimpressed by the potential matches the experts have come up with.

Goodman had to jump straight into the group retreat, where dates were brought in for a party, but she ended up in tears and said the next day: "Last night was a baptism of fire. I'm going to have to have a word with the agents. They need to do better."

As the experts called the group to ask how the party had gone, Goodman didn't hold back, saying: "I'm actually not happy. I wasn't eased in, I was thrown in the deep end. I wasn't given a life jacket and I think I potentially drowned.

"I didn't fancy any of them. I feel like my confidence has been knocked for a little while now. I used to be really ballsy."

Celebs Go Dating airs on E4 at 9pm on Monday to Thursday.
