Jeff Brazier melts viewers' hearts as he vows son Freddy is set for 'amazing' role in life

Jeff Brazier has said he believes is son Freddy's role in life is to be a "pioneer", backing him as being set to do "something amazing".

Freddy had spoken on Celebrity Race Across The World about his academic struggles and diagnosis with ADHD, but viewers found Jeff's belief in his son's talents moving.

The episode also saw Scott Mills and Sam Vaughan speak about the shaky start to their relationship, and how the race had strengthened their love.

Celebrity Race Across The World fans have been moved again by Jeff Brazier's bond with his son Freddy.

Freddy spoke about being diagnosed with ADHD while he was at school and said that he had struggled with academic work and paying attention in classes.

But dad Jeff backed his youngest son, insisting that Freddy was set to do something inspirational with his life.

He said: "I know he's going to do something amazing in his lifetime. We need the pioneers, we need the people that give a completely different opinion and that's what Fred's role is going to be.

"I see it, I've always seen it and I look forward to him seeing it. One day it's going to click and all fall into place."

Fans of the show found Jeff's faith in his son touching, as one viewer commented on X: "so much love for Jeff and Freddie," as someone else added: "As a dad Im loving watching Jeff & Freddy on their journey."

Another viewer wrote: "Freddy opening up on his ADHD diagnosis. He has been through so much. Jeff must be so proud of him."

Someone else commented: "Jeff has done an amazing job with his boys. I love Fred he comes across as a lovely young man."

Also in this week's episode, Scott Mills and Sam Vaughan opened up on their relationship and its rocky start as Vaughan had decided he just wanted to be friends.

Mills explained he had known from their first meeting that Vaughan was someone special but said that his now-husband had pulled back from the relationship for around seven months at the start.

He said: "We'd both come out of long-term relationships and I was full steam ahead. He was not...I was hoping that he would look back and go, 'I really miss that fun we had'."

Eventually, Vaughan agreed to give things another go and said: "Over that time I missed him more and more, and I realised what I was letting go."

As they travelled through Brazil on a picturesque train journey, he added: "Look at us now, two months off from our wedding, travelling through Brazil."

Mills said: "This has been the reconnection we needed before we do it for the rest of our lives."

Celebrity Race Across The World airs on BBC One at 9pm on Wednesday.
