Jennifer Aniston Pens Children's Book As an Ode to Her Precious Rescue Dog Clyde

Friends and The Morning Show star Jennifer Aniston has announced she will be releasing a children's book series inspired by her rescue dog Clyde, a Schnauzer mix, that will release in October.

The first book, “Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life,” with illustrations by Bruno Jacob, is scheduled for release on Oct. 1.

The Associated Press reports, "I could not be more thrilled to be taking Clydeo and his stories to publishing, where he will hopefully inspire children and dog lovers alike with his adorable journey to find his true passion,” Aniston said in a statement."

Aniston announced the news on Instagram with a post that read, "BIG news for this little guy. I am so excited to help @callmeclydeo announce his first-ever book .Pre-order now at the link in bio"

The Instagram link goes to the fictional Clydeo's page which shows the illustrated pup engaging in various activities like cooking pasta, drinking wine and gardening.

A huge dog lover, Aniston has the Schnauzer mix Clyde and pit bull mix Sophie, and Labrador Lord Chesterfield amongst her fur babies in the family.

Other Celebs Who Have Written About Their Dogs

All though Aniston's book is for kids, other celebrities have written books about their dogs or included stories about their beloved fur babies in their books.

Paris Hilton penned a book entitled "Your Heiress Diary: Confess It All to Me" which includes stories about her famous pets, including her dogs.

Kelly Clarkson wrote a kid's book called "River Rose and the Magical Lullaby" that features a little girl and her dog, Joplin. Clarkson lost her own dog named Joplin in 2013.

Long-time dog lover Oprah Winfrey includes stories about her beloved pups in her book "What I Know For Sure" which includes stories about her dogs and the lessons she's learned from them.

"Cesar's Way: The Natural, Everyday Guide to Understanding and Correcting Common Dog Problems" is written by the famous dog trainer and TV personality Cesar Milan. 

TV host and comedian Ellen DeGenres wrote a book called "The Funny Thing Is..."  which has a lot of stories and reflections on her life with dogs.

Seems like Aniston is in pretty good company with all of these other famous folks who love dogs.
