Joe Wicks reignited the conversation around drinking his partner's breast milk with an appearance on Good Morning Britain, saying: "I can't be the first man to try their partner's breast milk."

Recently the fitness guru has become a father of four after his wife Rosie gave birth to their baby boy. Already they have daughters Indigo and Leni as well as son Marley. Often the devoted dad shares a glimpse into his family's lives on social media but he sparked a huge debate with an Instagram post about drinking a shot of his wife's breast milk on the way to a Taylor Swift concert.

During his Good Morning Britain appearance on Tuesday, Wicks faced a grilling over the Instagram post. The TV star defended his decision to have a shot of his wife's breast milk as he said he couldn't be the first man to ever try their partner's breast milk. Wicks protested to hosts Ed Ball and Ranvir Singh: "I can't be the first man to try their partner's breast milk."

However, cheeky Balls confessed that he thought Wicks was the first to tell the world about it. He told him: "The first man to admit it on national television."

Conversation had turned to drinking human breast milk and Wicks wanted to set the record straight about how he doesn't drink it every day. Instead, the exercise star said he has had a shot of it and it made him feel "energised".

He said: "Just for a second, can I say, I don't do it every day. I never thought I would be on GMB talking about drinking my wife's breast milk. Look, it was a bit of fun. There were two options: throw it on the floor or drink it. I had a really good night. I didn't have a drink. I felt energised. I felt pretty good for it."

Presenter Balls asked: "What did it taste like?"

Wicks revealed that human breast milk was "really sweet", "sugary like vanilla milk". He told the presenters: "So basically, it's like sweet milk. It's got sugary like vanilla milk. It's really, really naturally sweet. Like I said, I'm not drinking it by the pint. It was just a shot and that was it."

Balls praised the star for his courage because he shared what he thought his own wife would say if he had asked her for her breast milk. "I think you are really brave," he said. "I think if I asked my wife if I could have done that, she would have said 'absolutely no way'."

Singh then asked what Wicks' wife's reaction to it was and he admitted she asked him why he wanted to drink it.

Social media was divided over Wicks discussing drinking his wife's breast milk. Weighing into the conversation, one viewer wrote: "Ed saying he wouldn't drink his wife's breast milk I nearly vomited in my breakfast."

Another viewer added: "Unless you're under the age of 1 you shouldn't be drinking breast milk."

Someone else said: "Just men feeling left out where breasts are concerned. There is no nutrition value in adults drinking breast milk. It is ideally for babies up to 6 months."

On the other side of the debate, one viewer wrote: "Always makes me laugh how humans can get weirdly squeamish about a human consuming something naturally produced for human consumption but don't blink an eye when humans drink milk produced by other species which we are not naturally supposed to consume."

Someone else wrote: "Just caught the story and a bit of his life. I think that fella is a genuinely good person. Great to hear him speak."

Another added: 'It's only milk and it's not like he drank it straight from the nipple. It was in a container."
