There are so many reasons why getting a pet will enhance your entire life. Not only will their daily needs help get you into a productive routine, but their love and silliness will make each and every day so much sweeter. They just might encourage you to get silly too!

One brand new cat dad discovered this firsthand when his girlfriend's kitten was feeling sassy on September 15. Artist Ashley Phillips said she 'didn't know what was going on at first' when she saw her boyfriend doing this strange-looking dance, but she soon figured out that he was just mimicking their black kitten's scurry. Once the two started scurrying back and forth, she simply had to capture it on film!

OMG--this is too much! I would be laughing out loud if I saw this happening in my living room, so I can only imagine how entertaining this was for Ashley. Actually, it looks like it was entertaining for everyone, including the tiny black kitten!

Commenters loved Ashley's sweet comment about marrying her boyfriend after seeing this sweet and silly reaction to a defensive kitten. This is definitely the kind of fun and positivity that would make little moments in life fun and special.

"Yes, responding to kitten aggression with a dance battle is definitely a green flag," confirmed commenter @amaizeingndn. He'll be an excellent cat owner! With him around, this tiny kitten with big feelings will grow up completely spoiled and loved. Best of all, this trio will be officially a family.

After another viewer asked whether the man survived the vicious attack, Ashley revealed that "Soon after this, she was ready for a snuggle session with his neck." It doesn't get much cuter than that!

Why Do Kittens Bite and Hiss?

Animals explore the world differently than people do, and they use their mouths for more than eating food. Cats and dogs actually receive scent inputs through both their noses and mouths, so they may use their mouths to explore the world around them. This includes biting, too! Many kittens give objects a nibble to learn more about them, but they may also be playing, grooming, or even showing affection.

Sometimes, though, your kitten's biting accompanies some hissing and attitude. This could be a way of them expressing fear and discontent, or it could be an exaggerated form of play. Kittens arch their backs and hop sideways to appear larger and more intimidating, but when they're this tiny and fluffy, it hardly works!

Whether this little kitten is playing or fighting is up to interpretation, but one thing is for sure: she has the best family around to show her that everything is fine. There are so many more play dances to come in their future!
