28,000+ Amazon shoppers love these Swedish Dishcloths — just $13 for a 10-pack

When you toss a paper towel, it can feel like you're just throwing money away. Well, you are — to the tune of hundreds of dollars. Reusable cloths are a thriftier and more eco-friendly way to clean up. Case in point: these Swedish Dishcloths. A single cloth can be reused up to 100 times — what's even better is that you can get them for just over $1 apiece at Amazon's pre-Prime Day sale.

Ready to clean up in the sales department? Amazon's sales extravaganza doesn't officially kick off until July 16, but loads of excellent early Prime Day deals have already dropped. To help you weed out the not-so-great sales, our team of shopping experts has been tracking prices all week — and we've even curated a list of don't-miss early Prime Day deals our editors are eyeing.

Why is it a good deal? 💰

Let's crunch some numbers here. According to Statista, Bounty is the most popular paper towel brand in the U.S., and it costs $23 for eight double-size rolls on Amazon. And the average American household uses five to seven rolls per month, which averages out to 72 rolls per year. That comes out to about $215 spent on paper towels per year.

Meanwhile, each one of these Swedish Dishcloths is designed to last as long as 15 rolls of paper towels, so by my rough calculations, if you replaced your paper towels with these, you would only go through five cloths a year— spending $13 total with five cloths to spare. That's a savings of over $200!

Why do I need this? 🤔

These absorbent cloths make a great replacement for icky sponges. They're fast-drying, odor-resistant and long-lasting. And the Amazon universe is all abuzz about 'em, with more than 28,000 five-star reviews. That's a lot of love for a dishcloth. They're also available in single-color packs in purple, blue, yellow and five other eye-popping colors.

Made of cotton and cellulose, these washable cloths can be cleaned again and again in the dishwasher or laundry. When they finally wear out, you can rest easy knowing they'll biodegrade. Impressive for about a buck a cloth!

What reviewers say 💬

Over 28,000 reviewers confirm these are incredibly effective on dishes. They are called Swedish Dishcloths after all.

Pros 👍

"You need these," promised an emphatic fan. "AMAZING...They are a workhorse for what they do. Into chemical-free/product-free cleaning? I’m telling you, cleaning is what I do. Wet one of these and hit a mirror with just water...Throw them in the dishwasher or washer (I don’t put them in the dryer). And they last. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought these as gifts. I have them stashed everywhere. Bathrooms, laundry room, kitchen, car!"

One happy shopper reported: "Great replacement for paper towels. I've been using them almost non stop. Washed beautifully and so easy to use. Dries totally with no musty smells. Appropriately thick for frequent use with no tearing. Colors are bright and haven't faded yet. Texture is soft without being fuzzy. Nice product. Absorption is excellent."

"Transform your cleaning routine," said a third. "Unlike traditional paper towels that get thrown away after one use, these reusable cloths are built to last. I've been using them for weeks, and they still look and work as good as new. This durability not only saves me money in the long run but also reduces waste."

Cons 👎

Several reviewers noted that while they loved the dishcloths, they didn't realize that the assortment wouldn't necessarily come in the colors shown.

"I received all four colors pictured the first time that I ordered," reported this customer. "But this time I only received pink and white, which are two colors that I like the least. I use them for washing dishes and they are perfect for that purpose because they are durable and fast-drying...[but] the colors could vary which is unfortunate if you care about the colors like I do."

Echoed another: "The picture showed four different colors, which I thought I would receive. I had planned to use a specific color for each cleaning job. However, I received only three colors — three pink, three green and four white...Although I thought of returning the package for a replacement, I realized that I would likely receive the same colors...I see myself throwing away the white cloths after a single use, which defeats the purpose of buying them. This has left me feeling totally bummed."
