Savannah Bananas mascot 'Split' gets its first Bobblehead. Here's how you can get one.

Since the team was founded in 2016, the Savannah Bananas have become a national phenomenon as owner Jesse Cole has created a fan-friendly, entertaining brand of baseball that has caught the imagination of fans throughout the country.

This year, Cole has taken the show on the road with the "Banana Ball World Tour" and the response has been excellent with sellouts at stadiums across the United States.

On Friday, the Bananas made their latest move into the big time as the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum unveiled the first Savannah Bananas Bobblehead. The limited-edition bobblehead features Split, the mascot of the Bananas.

In 2016, the Bananas held a "Name the Mascot" contest and Jennifer Terry of Norman Park was the first to suggest "Split" and was named the winner.

“Split was by far the most popular name suggested in our contest and we feel it is the perfect fit for our Bananas mascot,” team president Jared Orton said in a press release. "Standing 7 feet tall, Split is the World’s Largest Banana and the most physically fit with six-pack abs and giant biceps."

According to Orton, Split is the “King of Potassium.”

The Split bobblehead, sporting its trademark sunglasses, has his arms outstretched and is wearing a yellow No. 0 jersey with a cape. The bobbleheads are only available through the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum’s Online Store. They are expected to ship in October and cost $30 each plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order.
