Walmart's very best Labor Day deals on mattresses, vacuums, fall fashion and more

Labor Day weekend is the officially unofficial end of summer, when most of us start shifting away from beach trips, summer clothes, and outdoor dining and setting our sights on fall fashion and cozy home decor. We're already seeing plenty of deals across retailers and brands, including Walmart, with deals on everything from mattresses to fall fashion, and we've taken on the task of combing through to find the very best ones you should know about.

Quick overview
See 63 more

If you're in the market for one of Labor Day's hottest commodities — a new mattress — you'll find plenty of those on sale at Walmart that could be worth browsing. One of the best mattress deals we spotted at Walmart is on a twin bed for just $65. That's not a typo; you can get an entirely new twin-sized mattress for less than the price of AirPods. For Queen-sized mattresses, this 10-inch Zinus hybrid mattress is a particularly well-recommended find for just $148.

If instead, you're in the market for deals on things like dorm room essentials or fall fashion, you can save a few bucks on those items, too. This minimalist acrylic desk chair is stylish enough for dorms and home offices; you'll want one of these 12-outlet surge protectors for every room of your home; and we're obsessed with this buffalo plaid cropped jacket that's the very definition of fall fashion.

We've also spotted some deals on AOL tried-and-tested favorites, like our very favorite affordable espresso machine and Apple AirTags for keeping track of well, everything important to you. Take a look below at the full list of deals at Walmart that are worth browsing this Labor Day.

Of course we would normally recommend spending more than $65 on a mattress. After all, as with most products, when it comes to mattresses, you get what you pay for. But in this case, and for this price, it's worth mentioning as one of the best deals at Walmart this Labor Day. If you're in need of a first "big kid" bed for a little one or need a mattress for the bunk bed or trundle bed for your grandkids, this mattress is a perfectly fine option.

In fact, most reviewers say it's decent quality at this price point, especially for those types of use cases.

"Great price," wrote one reviewer. "Been looking around for an affordable mattress for my kids bunk beds."

"We were needing a mattress for the trundle bed in our granddaughters room and this fits nicely," wrote one grandparent. "Easy transport being that it came rolled in the box. I must admit I was worried about the quality, even when unrolling it. The springs felt very prominent. But once unrolled and allowed to expand, it really isn't bad."

$69 at Walmart

If this price isn't enough to get you excited about this mattress, perhaps the fact that it has over 4,000 reviews will?

Among affordable mattresses, this pillow top option from Zinus is, by far, the highest rated and best reviewed. It's not hard to see why, with its generous coil system that supports your back and spine as you sleep, as well as the foam and cushioning pillow top. A 10-year warranty is included to help put even your mind to rest.

"Honestly exceeded expectations!" wrote a reviewer. "Great quality. Firm but soft, very comfortable. This was purchased for the guest bedroom but I think it would be great for a daily sleeper."

The right mattress can mean the difference between an okay night's sleep or a great one. If you fancy yourself the Goldilocks of sleepers — needing something that's neither too soft nor too firm — the Original Mattress from Tuft & Needle is a good place to start.

What makes this mattress unique is that it's designed with a one-of-a-kind cooling gel as well as heat-conducting graphite material that makes for an incredibly comfortable and breathable night's sleep. It's an especially good design for those who consider themselves hot sleepers.

More than 25,000 shoppers swear by it with one reviewer saying it helped her chronic pain: "When I was traveling, I stayed in an Airbnb that had this mattress and I slept better than I had in years. As soon as I got home, we ordered one. I have much less disturbance to my sleep because I don't have to shift my position constantly to stay comfortable!"

$716 at Walmart

There's nothing worse than being deep asleep and waking up to your partner climbing in or out of bed. That's why Tuft & Needle's Bestselling Mint Mattress is made specifically for couples who are side or back sleepers. It's designed with a unique adaptive and pressure-relief foam for less motion transfer (meaning you'll be spared from the disruptive bounce of your partners or pets in the middle of the night). Bonus: It includes a cozy knit cover that's removable and washable.

More than 10,000 have given this mattress a five-star rating. One enthusiastic reviewer had this to say: "No matter how you sleep, it’s the most comfortable, weightless, delicious sleep you'll ever know. Marshmallow-soft on top, but catches you just as you sink in and stabilizes. ... I giggle like a child every time I get in bed, even after a month of having it because I cannot wait to snuggle in. The only problem you’ll have is not wanting to get up in the morning.

Never loses your phone, keys, luggage or wallet again with a pack of Apple AirTags. Use them to keep all of your most prized possession nearby and easy to find.

In fact, on a recent international flight, I stuffed an AirTag into my checked luggage, just in case. It was a good thing, too. Once I landed, I was able to check the status of the AirTag and see that luggage had been left behind in Paris, so it saved us from having to waste time at baggage claim looking for a bag that would never arrive. Thankfully our luggage was found and sent on the next flight over, but the AirTag spared us a lot of stress and heartbreak during its journey home!

Use it in the kitchen to store bulky appliances like your microwave, Crock Pot and blender, or turn the entire island into dedicated coffee and tea corner. Use the top to display a fruit bowl, flowers, photos, a lamp or more while the bottom shelves do the hard work of hiding kitchen clutter.

But don't feel limited in the kitchen with it — of the more than 550 customer reviews, many of them shared the clever ways they're using this rolling island in their homes.
