If you've ever had a baby, you know that you experience a level of tiredness that you've never felt before when they are newborns. You're also so in love with your baby and want to show them off to everybody! That's what happened recently to Kelsey when her Bengal cat decided to bring her new kittens to Kelsey's bed to show them off...and maybe even get some human help caring for them for a bit.

Kelsey shared a video on Tuesday, September 17th of what she woke up to when mama cat decided to bring her babies into their bed while they were sleeping. One after the other, mama dropped the kittens off like Kelsey was providing daycare. After seeing the video, I have to say that it wouldn't be a bad way to wake up!

This is just adorable! I'd babysit for Mama Bengal anytime! I thought it was funny that in the caption Kelsey said, "They absolutely peed on me if you were wondering." At least she had a sense of humor about it!

Commenters also adored the sweet video. @Mom of 6 joked, "Cat's POV: "I've been at this all night... here you watch 'em for a while." LOL!" and Kelsey replied, "Lol I can’t blame her! I guess they are finally old enough to drop off at daycare!" As a mom of twins, I can definitely say that the Bengal mama of way more than two could definitely use a break! @Breanna pointed out, "That is honestly such a complement. Momma cats only take their kittens to where it is safe. She feels safe with you." And @Nancy had my favorite comment when she said, "Now that’s a good reason not to get up!"

Is a Bengal the Right Cat for You?

If you're considering bringing a cat into your family, after seeing this adorable video you might be wondering if a Bengal cat is right for you. These exotic looking cats are a relatively new breed, and they are pricey.

Bubbly Pet shares just how much you'd be looking to pay for one of these beautiful cats, "A purebred Bengal kitten from a reputable breeder costs around $1,500 to $3,000. This range varies depending on several factors, such as the breeder’s reputation and the Bengal’s coat color and pattern. Generally, show-quality Bengal cats are priced higher, ranging from $2,800 to $4,800. If you are looking to save some cash, you can buy pet-quality Bengal cats for a few thousand dollars less. Pet-quality Bengal kittens cost around $1,500 to $2,500." That's quite a chunk of change, are they worth it?

Another Pet Helpful article shares some of the things you should know about this breed:

  • They're supremely intelligent.

  • They're also very active and demanding.

  • They're usually vocal and noisy.

  • They are predatory and territorial.

  • They're incredibly loving.

  • They're loyal and trainable.

Bengals are also 'wildly energetic' and social cats who would prefer to play instead of being a lap cat. You'll want to make sure that you have lots of toys to keep them busy, and maybe another cat or even a dog (though the introduction might take some time). In fact, they even have some dog-like qualities, "Bengals will walk on a leash, love to be trained, and love to take baths and play fetch!"

A quick note about this breed...sometimes unscrupulous breeders will advertise Bengals as mini tigers or leopards. They are not. They are simply domestic cats. If you see a breeder advertising them as anything else, run the other way. And as with any pet, before bringing a Bengal home do your research to make sure they fit in with your family's lifestyle, and that you can meet their needs and requirements.
