Nab a pair of cute pyjamas for summer. (Marks & Spencer / Yahoo Life UK)

As someone who wears old, oversized T-shirts to bed, you won't find many matching pyjama sets in my wardrobe. But going into this year, that was something I wanted to change. I wanted to invest in good quality pyjamas that made me feel like I had my life together, would help me sleep better, were comfortable to wear, and, inevitably, looked cute. Lo and behold, Marks & Spencer dropped a sleepwear range I just couldn't resist, leaving me particularly drawn to an adorable printed set adorned with summery citrus fruits.

Quick overview

Costing me a grand total of just £35 for three matching pieces (a cami top, pair of shorts and trousers), I've already whisked the set off on holiday with me, worn it to lounge around in on the very *few* hot days we've had, and recommended it to several friends who loved the look of whole ensemble.

Two months later and they wash up great, make me feel good and are perfect for summer.

On sale now and heavily reduced, they're running dangerously low in stock with only a few sizes still available. Don't worry too much if you don't manage to get your hands on them, though, as M&S has majorly discounted a number of other pyjama styles, too.

💸 Reasons to buy

With a total of five coordinating pieces available (each sold separately) including a cami top, shirt, shorts, trousers and wrap around robe, you can choose how exactly you want to wear the pyjamas, depending on what you feel most comfortable in. For me, I snapped up the matching cami top, shorts and trousers so I could have the choice to bare my legs or not, and with the intention of wearing them while on holiday and throughout summer.

As someone who doesn't normally wear actual pyjamas to lounge or sleep in, I was slightly concerned whether this set would be as comfortable as shoppers said it was. To my surprise, it was very comfortable on, no-doubt down to the set's silky viscose fabric and roomy cut.

A huge bugbear of mine with any sort of cami top is the straps — if they're not adjustable, I don't tend to reach for them. This set, though, is designed with adjustable straps which you can customise to your liking, which doesn't just help from a comfort perspective, but adds more security around the bust area. They also cross at the back, which I think is a really nice design detail, and not something you normally find in loungewear.

As for the print itself, it screams summer. Decorated all-over with citrus fruits and flowers, it's perfect for taking on holiday, or lounging around in while it's hot at home.

On the topic of heat, the breathable fabric also means it doesn't stick to you when it's warm. Other shoppers can vouch for this, too, saying it's "Great for hot nights when your PJs just don’t do!"

The trousers and shorts take on a wide-leg shape, making them super breezy and easy to move in, and ultimately, really comfortable.

Reasons to avoid

The only thing I would point out with these pyjamas is that the cami top has quite a low neckline. It didn't bother me too much as someone who's relatively bigger busted (I'm a 32E), but it's something worth noting if you prefer higher-neck designs.

This two-piece set includes a button-through top with a revere collar and short sleeve, and a matching pair of shorts — each made from a cooling blend of cotton.
