The Autopsy of Jane Doe follows a father-and-son team of coroners (played by the Succession star and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’s Emile Hirsch) who examine the body of an unidentified woman and start to experience a supernatural phenomena.

The movie from director André Øvredal was largely praised upon its release, with TimeOut calling it an “an enjoyable, compelling small-scale shocker”, while TheWrap said it was “a cut above most horror flicks”.

Since then, Cox has found a new level of fame starring in HBO series Succession, which came to an end last year after four seasons.

Speaking back in May, the actor revealed his favourite line from the show, recalling one tense moment between his billionaire patriarch Logan Roy and his children Kendall, Shiv, Roman and Connor.

"My favourite line in the whole show is when he says to the kids, 'I love you, but you're not serious people,'" Cox told The Starting Line Podcast. "And it's true - they're not - it's about avarice, it's about greed and that's not what he's talking about.

"The thing about Logan, he was a self-made man. He was brutalist in his attitude, but also, and this was right the way back, his one weakness - which should've been his strength - was that he loved his children.

"If he didn't love his children things would've been a lot happier... he loves his children - that's the thing he loves them all, but he sees them as wrecks."

Cox will next be seen (or rather heard) in animated Lord of the Rings movie The War of the Rohirrim, in which he will voice the character of Rohan king Helm Hammerhand.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe is streaming now on Netflix in the UK and Ireland.
