Claudia Winkleman has hilariously responded to a fan mistaking her for another famous TV presenter.

The Traitors and Strictly Come Dancing host took to Instagram to share a screenshot of a fan's fellow Instagram story which mistook Claudia for former Big Brother presenter Davina McCall.

"Of course I randomly bumped into Davina McCall," read the caption on the fan's original post, shared alongside a photo of Claudia filming for Channel 4 show The Piano.

Poking fun at the case of mistaken identity, Claudia's caption read: "I love you @davinamccall (thank you Brighton for having us @the pianouk)."

Davina swiftly responded to Claudia's Instagram Story on her own social media account, sharing several laughing face emojis and saying: "I got called @claudiawinkle twice last week."

It certainly suggests this isn't the first time the two TV stars have been mistaken for one another.

Confusion aside, the photo confirms that filming has begun on new episodes of The Piano, with Claudia seen interviewing a contestant at a train station in Brighton.

In June, Channel 4 announced that the reality musical talent show will return for a third season in 2025, with a Christmas special also airing this December.

The festive episode will be the last time viewers see pianist Lang Lang on the show, with the judge deciding to step down from his position for the third series.

The broadcaster revealed that multi-instrumentalist Jon Batiste will be joining the show as a new judge for season three, returning alongside fellow judge Mika and host Claudia.

"I am so happy to be a mentor on The Piano and to witness the pianists for the new series express themselves on the instrument I've dedicated my life to," said Batiste in a statement at the time of his appointment.

"This show will bring together my unique history of performing in both train stations and concert halls," he adds. "No matter where, I always have believed that music at its best creates community and brings folks together in divided times."

The Piano will return to Channel 4 for a Christmas special later this year, and then season 3 will air in 2025.
