Corrections and clarifications
• A leader column about the August riots (1 October, Journal, p2) mistakenly gave the town in which three young children were fatally stabbed in late July as Stockport, rather than Southport.
• The Great Exhibition in 1851 featured items from many places in the world, not just the British empire as an article said (Nuts and bolts solution found to speed of building Crystal Palace, 16 September, p15).
