‘Devastated’ Martin Lewis in plea for safe return of missing friend Anthony Hill
Financial journalist and broadcaster Martin Lewis is “devastated” after a former colleague was reported missing by the school where he now teaches.
Anthony Hill, 37, disappeared from Norwich at around 7.45am on Monday, Norfolk Police said.
The two men worked at the website MoneySavingExpert, founded by Lewis, for six years.
Father-of-two Mr Hill retrained as a teacher and now works at St William’s Primary School in Thorpe St Andrew.
He was last seen leaving his home on Plumstead Road East in the city.
Lewis reposted a police appeal, saying: “This is devastating. Please share.
“Anthony is a lovely man who used to work on the MoneySavingExpert deals team before leaving to pursue his valiant passion to get into teaching.
“I hope and pray he’s OK. Please, please spread word.”
Shortly before 6pm on Tuesday Lewis wrote: “Thank you everyone for sharing this. I'm afraid there's no news yet.
“All his friends and former colleagues are very concerned and just want news - but nothing like his wife (who the message came through to me from to help raise awareness) and daughters. So if you hear anything please inform the police and lets keep the profile of this up.”
Mr Hill’s wife Kayleigh Hill has appealed on Facebook for local drivers and residents to review any doorbell camera or dashcam footage from the area.
Police are appealing for help to trace a man who is missing from Norwich.
Anthony Hill, aged 37, was last seen at 7.45am today (Monday 17 June 2024) when he left his home address on Plumstead Road East.

A police spokesman said: “Anthony is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, of a slim build and with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing brown chino trousers, a black checked shirt, a green coat and a yellow rucksack.
“Police are concerned for Anthony’s welfare and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen him or knows of his current whereabouts.”
Mr Hill graduated from De Montfort University in Leicester with a BA in 2008, then finished an MA at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston the following year.
Anyone with any information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the force on 101, quoting incident number NC-17062024-507.
