EastEnders' first-look trailer has revisited the flashforward mystery following Denise Fox's confession.
The clip ties directly back into a flashforward mystery that first aired earlier this year and confirmed six women from Walford (aka The Six) will be involved in the death of another character at Christmastime.
While it's not clear that any of The Six killed this mystery person, the BBC's latest teaser hints that Denise will be intimately involved in the events.
An ominous bell tolls as Denise sips on a drink until a green light shines behind her and she angrily knocks her drink off the bar.
The teaser smash-cuts to a montage of the members of The Six — Sharon Watts, Linda Carter, Stacey Slater, Suki Panesar, Kathy Beale and Denise Fox — before warning that "in a flash, everything changes".
The Denise-centric teaser was dropped by the BBC on the same night as her affair with Ravi Gulati was exposed to her husband Jack Branning and family members.
Denise confessed to Jack that she'd had a kiss with Ravi, but her cover story quickly crumbled as Jack and her daughter Chelsea realised the depths of her deception over the last few months.
While the episode offered no definitive hints on whether someone from Denise's inner circle ends up dead at Christmas, it did feature Denise having an angry staredown with Ravi once the news spread through the Square.
Soap bosses have confirmed that Ravi only has more trouble on the horizon when Keanu Taylor approaches him about some dodgy dealings.
Meanwhile, Denise will struggle to make things right with Jack and Chelsea over her lies, but it remains to be seen whether or not she can repair the damage done.
