EastEnders releases cryptic Christmas whodunit trailer

EastEnders has released another cryptic whodunit trailer as part of The Six storyline this Christmas.
The upcoming arc, which sees a currently unidentified dead body discovered in The Vic, has been teased throughout the year via a series of flash-forwards, with the mystery remaining under wraps.

Six women – Stacey Slater, Sharon Watts, Linda Carter, Suki Panesar, Kathy Beale and Denise Fox – are at the centre of the potential crime, with the new trailer combining all the previous clips.
"For whom does the bell toll" reads the caption on the clip, with each character looking either anxious or sombre as Florence + the Machine’s ‘What Kind of Man’ plays in the background.
Whilst fans don’t have long to wait until the mystery is revealed, executive producer Chris Clenshaw recently teased the events of the festive season, promising that there would be big drama ahead.
"At the moment it really could be any of them, couldn't it?" he said. "It could be any man in Walford. But as we head towards Christmas, it will become apparent and it will become very clear who the potential body is.

"Not who the body actually is, but who the potential ones we're looking at are and the ones that it could be. It will be narrowed down – it will be clear who it could be from a small number of people – at the moment it literally could be anyone from Winston to Grant.
"They only really become The Six from Christmas and from the huge consequence of what happens at Christmas. Each of those women will become The Six from Christmas Day onwards."
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
