We Live In Time has announced a UK release date.

The romantic drama starring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield will be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on January 1, 2025.

Cinema-goers will have a four month wait following the film's world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6.

We Live In Time follows Pugh and Garfield as a young couple during a number of significant life events.

"Almut (Pugh) and Tobias (Garfield) are brought together in a surprise encounter that changes their lives," teases the movie's official synopsis.

"Through snapshots of their life together – falling for each other, building a home, becoming a family – a difficult truth is revealed that rocks its foundation.

"As they embark on a path challenged by the limits of time, they learn to cherish each moment of the unconventional route their love story has taken, in filmmaker John Crowley's decade-spanning, deeply moving romance."

We Live In Time is directed by John Crowley of The Goldfinch and Brooklyn fame, with Benedict Cumberbatch on board as an executive producer.

The screenplay has been written by Olivier award-winning playwright Nick Payne.

2025 will also see Pugh back on screens as Yelena Belova in Marvel's new Thunderbolts film, reprising her role from Black Widow (2021).

The first footage of the film - which arrives in cinemas in May next year - was recently revealed at San Diego's Comic Con during a panel with the cast. Pugh appeared alongside Stranger Things star David Harbour who returns as her on-screen dad Alexei Shostakov (aka Red Guardian).

We Live In Time will be released in the UK on January 1, 2025.
