My Hero Academia's new extended trailer has dropped, revealing when the movie will grace cinema screens in the UK.

Titled My Hero Academia: You're Next, the film is set right before the battle between heroes and villains and will be in cinemas from October 18. Directed by Tensai Okamura, it premiered in Japan on August 2.

The movie will see Deku and his Class 1-A pals grappling with the devastating consequences of the Paranormal Liberation War. After the conflict, a man appears and promises to replace Deku's mentor All Might and becoming the new Symbol.

Despite resembling All Might in appearance, the man is revealed to be Dark Might, an evil version who uses his Quirk for his own desires and takes advantage of people to get his ways.

You're Next also introduces Anna Scervino, a young woman with an unknown Quirk who's part of Dark Might's group. Targeted by a character in butler attire named Giulio, she shares a mysterious connection with the super villain.

Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki and the rest of U.A. High Class 1-A will have a lot on their hands as they vow to protect the world and end the Dark Might's reign of terror, whilst also facing an obscure crime organisation under the baddie's control, the Gollini Family.

The film was first announced in 2023, when My Hero Academia creator Kohei Horikoshi shared that a movie set after season 6 of the anime was in the works.

"It'll take place after the War from season 6, meaning that the collapsed society will be the stage this time," he teased. "After having been through so much and learning so many things, who will Deku and his friends fight against this time? What will they protect?! Look forward to it!"

You're Next is the fourth film in the series, following the release of Two Heroes, Heroes Rising and World Heroes' Mission in 2018, 2019 and 2021 respectively. A live-action movie for Netflix is also in production.

My Hero Academia: You're Next will be released in UK cinemas on October 18.
