Hollyoaks star promises more shocks in Dilly and Rafe plot

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks star Emma Johnsey-Smith has promised even more shocks in the Dilly and Rafe plot.

In recent weeks, the Rafe Harcourt and Sienna Blake story was completely changed when Dilly Harcourt and her "brother" Rafe were seen plotting against the village's resident schemer.

In a shocking twist that nobody saw coming, Rafe and Dilly were revealed to be husband and wife, not the brother and sister duo they had been posing as.

While that might seem like a huge revelation in the storyline, Emma, who stars as Dilly on the soap, said the biggest shock is still to come.

Speaking to Inside Soap, the actress teased even more big reveals in the upcoming storyline hinting at some "wild moments".

"If you think you know the big reveal, you're wrong," she said. "There is more to come, and don't blink because you might miss something!

"There are some really wild moments, but you will see Dilly take things one step further. And that might not be intentional… Let's just say Sienna should sleep with one eye open!"

Speaking about the moment she was told by the soap that her on-screen brother was, in fact, her husband, Emma said: "When they told us I was so shocked, I couldn't look at Chris [Gordon, who plays Rafe] in the same way after that!"

When asked if Dilly is prepared to go further with the plan to ruin Sienna's life than Rafe, Emma said: "Yes, 100%. There is more at stake for Dilly, essentially it's her plan. Rafe is doing it for Dilly and going along with it.

"They love each other but the motive to destroy Sienna is so strong – Dilly shot herself in the foot by having to watch Rafe pretend to be in love with another woman. Rafe is starting to lose sight of what matters."

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
