A first-half goal from Liam Delap was enough to earn Ipswich their first Premier League point of the season, but they had to share the spoils in a 1-1 home draw with Fulham after winger Adama Traore grabbed an equaliser.

Roared on by an enthusiastic home crowd, Delap put Ipswich ahead in the 15th minute, drifting across the box before lashing in a powerful shot that Fulham keeper Bernd Leno got his gloves to but could not keep out.

The visitors levelled 17 minutes later after Antonee Robinson whipped the ball across the box and Traore stabbed it home with a superb first-time finish to crown Fulham’s best attack of the game.

Both sides struggled to create decent goal-scoring chances in a tough, physical game, and though Omari Hutchinson went close with a stoppage-time shot, neither could find the net again as the game ended in a draw.

The spoils are shared at Portman Road, where it finishes 1-1 and Ipswich Town collect their first point since achieving promotion back to the Premier League. While Fulham enjoyed plenty of possession for most of the first half, they went behind to an early Delap goal of real quality; the visitors bit back, though, as Traore converted a cross from close range to level matters before half-time. Ipswich grew more confident as the game progressed and might even have snatched maximum points, but they are at least off the mark in their comeback campaign. As Fulham's xG was 1.03 to their hosts' final figure of 0.48, Marco Silva might be frustrated not to secure another win. While Ipswich are away to Brighton in two weeks time, the Cottagers host London rivals West Ham in their first game back after the international break. That's all for today's live coverage, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!

Clarke's cross from the left is cleared away, and an Ipswich attack then breaks down. In the context of avoiding three straight defeats, a draw would be an acceptable outcome for the home side today, but they would love to snatch a late winner.

16:38

Having easily slipped past Ogbene on the left, Iwobi drives inside and lets fly from 20 yards out. However, his tame shot is sent straight at Muric, who gathers it safely. It seems like Fulham have seized momentum now - can they convert it into a goal?

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

16:36

Pereira delivers a free-kick from the left flank, which swings dangerously into the six-yard box. Muric punches the ball away, but it strikes one of his defenders and flies behind for a Fulham corner - that could've gone anywhere!

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

16:32

On the counter, Hutchinson and Szmodics combine out on the left, but the latter's cross towards Ogbene is struck a little too firmly and Fulham can comfortably clear the danger.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

16:28

After Traore beats his man, drives to the right byline and then stands up a ball to the back post, Iwobi feeds it to Smith Rowe, who sees his shot blocked at close range. Perhaps Iwobi should've shot there.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

16:26

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

16:16

After good build-up play by Morsy and Ogbene, a sharp turn by Delap opens a slither of space to shoot from 10 yards. His angled attempt slips just wide of the far post via a deflection, though. It's an Ipswich corner.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

16:06

Ipswich Town kick off, and we are back under way at Portman Road!

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

16:00

Fulham will surely sense they can end a 16-year streak today, as the capital club have not won at least twice in their first three games of a Premier League season since 2008. Another victory would give them a good platform to build on after the international break, but Ipswich will not want to depart for national-team duty without picking up a single point. There's all to play for during the second half.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:56

Despite taking an early lead via Delap's superb solo strike, Ipswich Town were subsequently pegged back and are level with Fulham at half-time. Responding to their hosts' 15th-minute opener, the visitors stepped up a gear and eventually made it 1-1 thanks to Traore's close-range finish from a sweet Robinson cross. Indeed, Fulham's xG reflects their overall superiority - it stands at 0.73 to Ipswich Town's 0.21 - and they have bossed ball possession too. Nonetheless, the home side are still very much in this contest, as they seek their first points since returning to the Premier League after two decades away.

HALF-TIME: IPSWICH TOWN 1-1 FULHAM

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:50

There will be a minimum of two minutes added for stoppages at the end of this first half. It has been fairly breathless stuff so far.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:48

As Ipswich continue to drop back towards their own box, Pereira's threatening cross from the right is headed away to safety. Can Fulham find a second goal as reward for their dominance of possession (64% - 36%)?

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:46

Muric gathers a high Robinson cross from the left byline, but only at the third attempt. As the half-time whistle nears, Fulham are starting to apply more pressure.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:44

Phillips almost makes amends for his wayward corner, as the Man City loanee picks out Ogbene with a cross to the back post. However, the latter's header is saved by Leno before the offside flag is raised.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:44

A good set-piece opportunity is wasted by Ipswich, as Phillips sends a corner-kick from the left high over his teammates and past the far post. It goes straight out of play for a Fulham goal-kick.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:40

Momentum has switched again, as conceding that goal has forced Ipswich to start playing. They are now passing neatly inside Fulham's half, aiming to put more pressure on their opponents.

SAVE! Muniz misses a great chance to score from a free header, placing his 10-yard attempt straight at Muric! It was an excellent cross from opening goalscorer Traore, but the Brazilian couldn't convert it.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:36

Ipswich have never opened a top-flight season with three straight losses, and their hopes of avoiding that fate seem to be on track today. They have to be careful not to become too passive now, though. It's a long way from here until full-time.

Goal Adama Traoré Diarra

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

Still, Fulham patiently probe, seeking an opening in the Ipswich defence. This period of possession has quitened the Portman Road crowd a little. Can the away side build on it and equalise before half-time?

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:30

Although they are 1-0 in front, Ipswich are only considered to have a 33% chance of winning by Opta's live-win predictor, while Fulham's hopes stand at 40%. That surely reflects the Cottagers' established Premier League status.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:30

Having ridden the storm, Fulham are dominating the ball now. Taking back control will be the first step, but they must now try to get forward in support of Muniz. The Brazilian striker has not been involved much.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:28

Despite trailing, Fulham have actually had 64% of possession so far. However, it hasn't come in dangerous areas, and since going behind they've been unable to break into the final third.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:24

It's still all Ipswich, as the home side link up in and around the Fulham area. Ogbene's cross from the right is just too long, but the ball is recovered and pressure is sustained. Marco Silva's men are under fire now.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:22

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:16

When Traore fails to take advantage of a great position on the right side of Ipswich's area, passing just behind a perfectly placed Muniz, Woolfenden slides in a mops up the danger. It's a pleasingly open start here at Portman Road.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:14

After Hutchinson drives inside and spots some space from which to shoot, he fails to connect fully with his attempt, which ends up dribbling straight towards Leno in the Fulham goal.

15:12

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:10

Traore drives past Davis and into the area at top speed, but after coming up against another couple of blue shirts, he stumbles towards the byline and can't deliver either a cross or shot.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:10

Leno has to claw the ball away from his goal line after an Ipswich corner is nodded back across the six-yard box by Greaves. He angled it towards goal, but the German goalkeeper was alert enough to stop it sneaking in.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

15:08

Fulham have started well here, passing crisply as they try to draw the sting from a charged-up home side. The Ipswich fans are in full voice already.

Ipswich Town vs Fulham

The action is brought to an early halt as Davis takes a heavy blow from Traore inside the Fulham penalty area. It was an accidental collision, though, and soon enough he recovers following medical treatment.
