Police have launched an urgent appeal after a 10-month old girl went missing with her father.

Sharing a picture of Layla Rose Wheeler and her father Clifford Wheeler, police asked the public for help to locate the pair.

Anyone who sees the pair is urged to call 999 or pass on any sightings to Merseyside Police via their online form.

Layla was last seen in the area of Wallasey Village in Wirral, Merseyside Police said in a statement.

The force said she is believed to be with her father and that they have “concerns for both of their welfare”.

Layla is described as having short blonde hair and blue eyes.

Very little information has so far been given by Merseyside Police, other than photos and the last area where Layla was seen. No information has been given on when the pair were last seen.

We do not know why police are concerned for their welfare. There is also no information who Layla lives with or any other living arrangements.

Police have not given any information on the age of her father or his background. We currently do not know why he and his daughter may have vanished.

Yahoo News UK has contacted Merseyside Police for an update.
