Man found injured and car damaged in Woolwich shooting

A man has been found with gunshot wounds in Woolwich.

Police were called at 11.53pm on Wednesday to reports of shots fired at Kingsman Street.

Officers visited the area and a crime scene was set up when shell casings and damage to a vehicle were found.

A search of the area took place but there was no sign of a victim or any suspects.

Around 20 minutes later the Met Police were called by the London Ambulance Service to reports of an injured man at a commercial premises on Church Street in Woolwich.

A man in his 20s had suffered gunshot injuries.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital by the LAS, where his injuries have been deemed not life-threatening.

Crime scenes remain in place at Kingsman Street and Church Street and at this stage no arrests have been made.

At this early stage there have been no arrests.

The shooting happened minutes after a man was shot dead in a separate incident in Kilburn.

Police were called to reports of shots fired in Bravington Road at around 11.06pm.

A man in his 20s was declared dead at the scene at 11.48pm.
