LEGO and Pharrell Williams are teaming up for an intergalactic toy set.

The 'Happy' singer and the toy giant have already collaborated on the animated documentary Piece by Piece, which is set to close the BFI London Film Festival 2024 with a special gala at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall.

Ahead of the film's premiere next month, the pair have announced the September 20, 2024, release of a special LEGO collection called Over the Moon with Pharrell Williams.

This set is a celebration of Pharrell's love of space and comes in three distinct parts, each with its own special meaning for the musician.

The gold-and-black space shuttle represents humanity's limitless potential, while the multicoloured jet stream symbolises imagination, creativity and the power of play.

The third element of LEGO's Over the Moon with Pharrell Williams set is the widest range of skin tones ever for the company, with seven in all. Builders can mix and match 51 different minifigure heads — including over 30 designed specifically for this release.

“Growing up, I was obsessed with space and the infinite possibilities it represents,” Pharrell said. “This partnership aims to inspire creativity and inclusivity. With my LEGO Over the Moon set I want everyone to feel seen and empowered to imagine their own stories. The spaceship is blasting off, and you’re in the pilot seat.”

You can pre-order LEGO's Over the Moon with Pharrell Williams now for £94.99 in the UK or $109.99 in the US, before the set's September 20 release date.
