'Old Lady' Pit Bull Coming Home With Police Escort is Too Cool For School

Social media trends come and go, but cute animal videos are here to stay. Since the dawn of the Internet, pet owners and animal admirers have been sharing the sweetest and silliest videos they can find, and I know I'm not alone when I say I wouldn't have it any other way. Video-sharing apps like TikTok have been especially fun for sharing a dog or cat's best moments, but one new trend may just top them all.

The 'bad dog' trend on TikTok has dog owners sharing videos they never thought would see the light of day. No one wants to admit when their dog messes up, but one Pit Bull's owner had no qualms about putting her hilarious home escort on blast. Despite her innocent look, this 'old lady' is a master escape artist, and the police even had to be recruited to bring her back home! Regardless of all the fuss, something tells me she'd do it again.

LOL! This innocent girl has no idea who brought her home or why it's such a big deal, but the look on her dad's face says it all. As funny as the encounter is, he seems both relieved to have her home and embarrassed that the cops took the time to bring her back. In all honesty, I'm sure they'd rather help a stray dog get home than give a grumpy person a traffic ticket!

Still, commenters can't get over the dog's chill attitude while riding in the back of a squad car. One viewer explained, "Ma'am, she is too old to GAF. She's just living her best life, apparently." But of course! What else is a free spirit like her to do?

I'm a bit surprised that the Pit Bull's parents are so calm about the whole situation. If my dog ran off and was found, I'd be hysterical with tears! The dog owner's calmness makes me think this isn't the first time she's run off, and a reply to a comment confirmed my suspicion.

Microchipping Saves Lives

When someone asks if she's a regular runaway dog, her owner replies that she is, but her microchip makes it easy for someone to help her get home. She may not be a very fast target at her advanced age, so it was only a matter of time before someone found her and brought her to the right person. And sure enough, that's what happened!

Thousands of dogs have been reunited with their loved ones thanks to microchips, and the technology is only getting better. All dogs should be chipped, if possible so that they get to come back home instead of going to the shelter if anything happens. Take it from this senior dog--microchipping saves lives and keeps families together!
