Do you feel that chill in the air? That means it's almost October. Better yet, it's almost time for Halloween. One Persian cat is ready for the night's festivities. Cleo already has her costume picked out. And video of the Persian cat trying it on before the big day has us feeling batty.

She wants to suck your blood! Well, not really. The Persian cat is more likely to stalk a cat food feeder than chase you around the house trying to bite your neck. But she did make for one very cute creature of the night.

Ooh aah, we're so scared! You might even call us scaredy cats after seeing the video of Cleo in her vampire costume. The Persian cat definitely sleeps all day and stays up all night like a real vampire. And we all know that cats can get you to do what they want. Don't look in her eyes! Cleo will hypnotize you.

Much like vampires, cats also can't eat garlic. Hmmm...maybe they have more in common than we thought.

"A fluffy vampire," Cleo's owner joked in the caption.

The comments section was obsessed with Cleo's adorable — we mean terrifying — costume. "The perfect cat costume doesn’t..." joked one commenter. "It's a vampurrrr," someone else teased. "Actually I’m a little scared," another person added. "The only vampire that doesn't scare me," someone else chimed in.

Getting Your Cat Into a Halloween Costume

We're sure Cleo isn't the only kitty getting ready for Halloween. And by that of course we mean Cleo's owners aren't the only ones who are going to dress their cats up for Halloween. It's no easy feat, mind you. Cats don't exactly love to play dress up. But it is possible if you follow these few easy tips.

First things first, never force your pet to wear a costume. We know it's very cute, but your animal's comfort and happiness should always come first. Then consider the fit. If you know your cat's weight and general size you should make sure their costume isn't too tight or too big. Another tip, keep it simple. Even the best cat will only put up with so much, so an elaborate costume is probably going to annoy them.

Cats don't really love stuff on their head, so maybe skip a costume that involves any sort of hat or head covering. Ditto for masks — your cat won't love it.

When it comes to actually putting the costume on, it's all about treats and patience. Treats can go a long way with your cat and it's always best to take your time. Once your cat has its costume on — voila! Snap your photo and put it on Instagram, quickly. The clock is running before your cat will want to take the costume off.
