Rescue Deer Is the Sweetest Sofa Buddy and People Can't Get Enough

Most of us wouldn't look at a full-grown deer and see them as a potential couch cuddle buddy. They're beautiful, majestic creatures, to be sure, but they're also wild animals. Deer were born to roam free through the forests and fields of their native habitats, not veg on the sofa with their human homies!

But as with every rule, there's always a few notable exceptions, and one such exception is Sugarfoot, a rescue deer who was raised by his human family since he was a fawn. Though Sugarfoot is now grown up and free to go off on his own, he still loves hanging out with his special humans on their outdoor furniture - especially whenever his granddad is home!

That is true love! According to Sugarfoot's human "mom," Sienna (aka @e93sienna), the affectionate white-tailed deer loves hanging out with his granddad, planting kisses on his hand just like this whenever he gets the chance. Though the stag is free to come and go as he pleases, he's always down to crash on their outdoor sofa and fit in a little quality family bonding time!

According to Sienna in the comments, this isn't even where Sugarfoot sleeps, as Sugarfoot stays active at night (most deer species, including white-tailed deer, are the most active at dawn and dusk). He simply likes chilling on her family's porch during the daytime, resting in the safety of their home and visiting with his human family. He's just a sweet, sociable guy!

Adopted Into a Human Family

Though Sienna never shared the official story of how she and Sugarfoot met, her TikTok account makes it clear that he was most likely orphaned as a baby fawn. Her account has videos of little Sugarfoot from when he was less than a week old. She and her family bottlefed and looked out for the little guy until he grew big enough to care for himself and explore on his own. Sienna's family is the only family Sugarfoot has ever known, and his love for them is obvious!

"I'll never get over how adorable and loving and beautiful Sugarfoot is, makes me so happy," admired TikTok user @mokibaby21.

"This is so sweet! We all just want unconditional love," @fastcarsbruh agreed.

"I can feel the love! It's so obvious that there is a very special bond between these two couch potatoes. Precious!" @tanny0620 praised.

Not every family has earned the unconditional affection of a wild animal like Sienna's family has. Their unconventional bond is as remarkable as it is touching, and it says something that Sugarfoot's always down to return home to hang out with his grandpa, even though he's free to roam wild as he pleases.

As for Sienna, she still looks out for Sugarfoot and his other animal friends while they're spending time at home (she even has an Amazon wishlist with supplies for those who'd like to support her). She and her family do so much to keep Sugarfoot and his pals safe, healthy, and happy!
