RHOBH Star Kylie Richards Finds a Rat on Her Car & Totally Loses It

Yesterday Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards was visited by the cutest rat distribution system ever and instead of claiming the little guy as a pet, she just lost her mind and said "Oh My God" a lot.

I guess finding a rat on the outside of your car would be sort of shocking, but it wasn't like the little guy was going to hurt her or anything. He was probably just looking for a snack!

Richards posted on Instagram about her adorable rat encounter, "So this happened to me today. I stopped for coffee & was sitting in my car looking at emails. Now, before you judge my reaction ( yes, a disclaimer is coming) know that at first my passenger side window was DOWN and and I was afraid to put my car in reverse because my rear view mirrors would move potentially creating a worse scenario. And I was too afraid to put my legs down where the gas pedal is in case there was a point of entry down there. I also couldn’t feel my legs."

So many people in the comments are firmly on #TeamRat and one person, who just happens to be Chrissy Teigen, said, "Oh my god he’s so f*cking cute I’d die of happiness!! I’d also pretend it was a loved one who passed away coming to visit me."  Kim Richards added, "I thought it was fake at first… haha He looks very content riding along looking around poking at you !!! He does NOT EVEN LOOK SCARED !!" Maria Menounos even said, "I’m dead. This little cutie wanted to be your friend. I love him."

Richards updated her post in the comments and said, "he would not leave!!! Maybe five minutes after I stop the video he dropped down and I did not know where to! So I zoomed out and had to pull over and park for 20 minutes until I could feel my legs again."

There are so many misconceptions about rats but domesticated rats are very different from the street rats you see rooting around garbage, and as a matter of fact, they make wonderful little pets.

Do Rats Make Good Pets?

My family has personally owned a few rats, Bad Leroy, and then a pair we named Hall and Oats, and I can tell you this, rats make absolutely fantastic pets. They are amazingly intelligent and just as affectionate as a dog or a cat. They love cuddling on your lap while you watch TV, and they even like getting in the shower with people.

One huge drawback for having a pet rat is the average lifespan for a rat is 2 to 3 years. If you can’t make a long commitment to a pet, this characteristic may be appealing, but if you have children and aren’t prepared for them to experience the death of a pet, this could be a drawback.

Rats also love having play time outside of their cage, but if you have other pets they can learn to live happily with a rat. Our cats never harmed our rats, but we also never left the animals alone together.

The Humane Society also offers these cute little rat terms:

It’s time to learn some new lingo. When they’re feeling frisky, rats will bound across the floor, a behavior known as “popcorning.” When content, they grind their teeth; that’s called “bruxing.” When they’re super happy, you may see “boggling,” when their eyes bulge out and vibrate.

I think Kyle should have kept the little guy and given him a very lavish home! The Real Houserat of Beverly Hills!
