Rochelle Humes has vowed never to do Strictly Come Dancing after Bruno Tonioli compared her moves to "the aunty at the Christmas party who'd drunk too much sherry".

The Saturdays star and This Morning presenter appeared on Loose Women with her husband Marvin Humes, where they talked about his bandmate JB Gill's chances in the current BBC series.

But Rochelle said her best advice to their friend was not to follow in her footsteps, adding that the idea of taking part in a full Strictly series made her feel ill.

Rochelle Humes fans could be forgiven for thinking that the TV star would be a shoo in for Strictly Come Dancing thanks to her popstar past in The Saturdays and S Club Juniors.

But This Morning presenter Rochelle told Loose Women that she would never return to the Strictly ballroom after a disastrous Christmas special 11 years ago that saw judge Bruno Tonioli compare her to a drunk aunty.

She and husband Marvin Humes were asked about their friend, Marvin's JLS bandmate JB Gill's chances in this year's Strictly cast and whether they would ever do the show themselves.

Marvin pointed out that his wife had already done the Christmas special in 2013, but Rochelle said: "You can't say that I did it because that's offensive to people that did. I did a Christmas special, it was a long time ago because (their eldest daughter) Alaia's 11 and it was not long after I'd had her.

"I remember at the time Bruno was a judge and he said I looked like the aunty at the Christmas party who'd drunk too much sherry. Do you know what, I've watched it back through my fingers."

Asked whether she would come back for a full series, as Matt Goss who was also in her Christmas special had done, she said: "No. I honestly think anyone that does it is so brave. Even when they say 'dancing the Cha Cha...' I'll be like (vomiting sounds). So whatever you do, J, just do the opposite to me and you'll be amazing."

Rochelle and her partner Ian Waite scored a respectable 31 points for their festive Salsa, but came last in the competition.

Talking about Gill's chances this year, Marvin said: "J's going to do so well, he loves Strictly."

Asked whether he was a good dancer already, he joked: "He was in JLS, of course he is! We met Amy (Dowden, his dance partner) at the weekend, she came up to our last show and they did a little dance together. They've already got great chemistry together."

Rochelle and Marvin were on Loose Women to talk about their new series of music gameshow The Hit List and said they loved working together.

Marvin shared: "We're still married so we're doing ok. Working on The Hit List, for me it doesn't feel like work, I'm with my best friend hosting the show."

The couple have three children, but said condensing the show into a week's filming was good for their family.

Rochelle explained: "My mum comes and holds down the fort at home. It works better for us - it's full on, we do three eps a day and we do it over a week which means that we can get the whole series in one week. If we were at home, I'd feel bad that we were running late for school.

"My mum enjoys that week. I don't ask any questions, they eat what they want, they go to bed at what time and I just think, nanny's rules. Ultimately, she's like, I'm doing you a favour, don't worry about it. If they have a chocolate at midnight, it's not your business."

Loose Women airs on ITV1 at 12.30pm on weekdays.
