A self-dubbed “burger lover,” Kaleigh Anderson said that Victorville's Roundabout Grill is where delicious food is served by super friendly employees.

“The burgers are juicy and very tasty because they’re made with steak,” Anderson, 37, said. “You realize that the moment you take your first bite.”

Anderson admits her addiction for a Roundabout Angus beef double bacon cheeseburger is the reason for her nearly weekly trips to the in a “sparkling clean” restaurant sandwiched between Chase Bank and Desert Dental on Hesperia Road.

“If I’m really hungry, I’ll split a pastrami cheeseburger with my boyfriend, who’ll still manage to eat that and his own double cheeseburger,” said Anderson, as she dipped a few fries in ketchup before devouring them.

Besides burgers, the restaurant’s expansive menu includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner items.

“We also like Roundabout because they serve traditional fast food with class and large entrees like a sit-down restaurant,” Anderson said. “One time, we ordered the roasted chicken dinner and pork chops and it was delicious.”

Opening Roundabout

The Roundabout Grill is located in the former home of Los Roberto’s, a popular Mexican restaurant that was established over 30 years ago in the High Desert.

In 1988, Jose Ramirez opened Los Roberto’s on Seventh Street in Victorville where it remained until 2010 when the owner built the existing 3,064 square-foot restaurant on Hesperia Road.

In Sept. 2018, The Bradco Companies announced the completed sale of Los Roberto’s, once known for sporting two-horse statues over the restaurant’s entrance.

Former owners, Jose Ramirez and Billie Jo Ganguin, sold the building to Christos “Chris” Kakkalis, who transitioned the store to Roundabout Grill, which opened in February.

For Mexican food lovers, the menu is loaded with burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas, tacos, nachos tortillas, and more.

“We always take food home because the portions are huge,” said Kevin Ownen, 42. “When the kids are with us, they always order hot dogs and chicken nuggets.”

Couple Fred and Debbie Sullivan, who live near the restaurant, said they frequently stop by Roundabout, where they share breakfast.

“We usually order the pancakes and eggs, or pork chops and eggs,” said Debbie Sullivan, before taking a sip of coffee. “Sometimes, we come here for an early dinner and order Cobb salads.”

The restaurant has also hosted a variety of parties and meetings, such as the weekly Spring Valley Lake Veterans Club breakfast.
