Scott Mills and Sam Vaughan have talked about the huge pressure of choosing a route in the Celebrity Race Across The World final where any team could have won.

Just 39 minutes separate the teams as they set off on the final leg in tonight's episode, and Mills and his husband Vaughan told Loose Women that picking the wrong direction could have spelled disaster for any of them.

Meanwhile, Kelly Brook told This Morning that she and husband Jeremy Parisi suffered a travel nightmare when their bus broke down.

In tonight's Celebrity Race Across The World final, any team could scoop the series win as just minutes separate them in setting off from the final checkpoint.

Scott Mills and Sam Vaughan spoke to Loose Women about the huge pressure they were under in picking a route, and how competitive the contestants had become.

Vaughan said: "Because we all left the checkpoint kind of within 30 minutes of each other, none of us wanted to take the pressure on what route we went. So we did a flip of the coin and left it down to the coin to decide which way we would go."

Mills agreed: "Yeah, you don't want to be the person that makes the wrong decision on the final leg, it's too much pressure."

Vaughan, who Mills married just months after completing filming on the race, added: "Usually on the final episode you can kind of guess because there's so much gap, so you've got time to make up or lose, but with this because there was only about 35 minutes between everyone, any wrong decision would have backfired."

The pair might not have seemed like the most competitive team, but they admitted the drive to win increased as the race went on.

Mills said: "I'm not really a competitive person but yes, you see people at checkpoints, but you start to realise maybe they're holding their cards a little bit close to their chests. You'll say things like, 'how was that leg for you?' 'Yeah, ok.' 'How much money have you got left?' 'Some.' No one would tell us how much money they had left."

Kelly Brook and her husband Jeremy Parisi stopped in to This Morning earlier on Wednesday to hint at their own travel nightmare in the final leg of Celebrity Race Across The World.

They showed a clip of them looking devastated as their nighttime bus broke down, leaving them stranded midway through the journey.

Competitive Parisi admitted that towards the end of the race he had switched his goal from winning to simply finishing, saying: "The last two weeks, I said to Kelly I don't know if we can finish it."

Brook added: "You don't think about the winning, you just literally want to finish it because it's humiliating not to because then you've really not raced very well at all.

"The three things were I wanted to finish the race, I wanted to not run out of money, and I didn't want to be hitchhiking. Well, tonight, I can't say all of those dreams came true."

Loose Women airs on ITV1 at 12.30pm on weekdays.
